Can't imagine this twat being our "king", lecturing us on our bacon, beer and maple syrup consumption. Up yours my dear majesty! Cheerio
Just take a good look at the picture of Prince Charles, and tell me why MAD Magazine should not adopt him and replace Alfred E. Newman as their resident idiot.
There is a striking similarity between the two.
On top of questioning how he thinks each cow really consumes that much water in its life time, I also question his assertion that they're damaging 'the world' by what they do with their water there. Last I checked, our fresh water supplies aren't linked in with 'the world's' fresh water supplies. Makes you wonder what he has planned.
Water Shortage Livestock require water for consumption but also for watering drops necessary for feed. Grains are often used to feed live stock about 50% of US grains produced does and 40% of world grains produced does as well. [13] Grain and in general crop production requires various amounts of water, it takes 100,000 liters of water for a kilogram of grain fed beef, compared to wheat, which takes 900 liters. [14]
Well the water problem has been tracked for a while now, and it is real:
Livestock - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
U.S. Beef and Veal production amounts to about 27 Billion pounds per year. Production actually matches consumption, so it's fair to say that the U.S. also consumes 27 Billion pounds of beef/veal per year. Imports from around the world amount to about 3 Billion pounds per year.
Background Statistics: U.S. Beef and Cattle Industry
It's basically industrial agriculture which will eventually turn the world to ****.

So, WHAT????
Are you saying that you NEVER eat beef or veal? Are you saying that you never eat MEAT???
And of course, the thing about water. The last time I looked, three-quarters of the world covered in it. Each spring there is an overabundance of it in many locations. Can you tell me where 'wasted' water goes? Does it leave Earth forever? Does it disappear?
Your ilk has nothing but envy and jealousy.

Anyone who agrees with His Royal Idiocy, and blames real or perceived water shortages on people who eat beef, veal or for that matter any meat is, just like his Royal Highness, a certifiable idiot.
"Here in the United States I am told one acre is lost to development every minute of every day, which means that since 1982 an area the size of Indiana has been built over," he told the 700–strong audience. "Again, in the US, soil is being washed away 10 times faster than the Earth can replenish it."
"I'm not sure why people are getting confused here.
He did not say "eat" less beef or veal.
He is justly criticizing the industrial agricultural movement. He's criticizing the way beef is 'produced' not 'eaten' - which comes with legitimate environmental impacts.
You can change that system and eat all the beef you want. But don't let the misleading headline fish you in. The point is about sustainable agriculture, not about demand for veal..."
Oh no??
"Prince Charles tells America to cut down on steaks ... for the sake of the world"
You will not eat it if you don't produce it. Unless, of course, if you are one of those free-loading African countries, that are the favourite sop sisters of liberals.
