They're going there to see how much money they can take from us.

Unfortunately, I've had to fly a lot the past few months (Delta, West Jet, Porter) and it was all very cramped and uncomfortable but at least on Porter the booze is included in the cost of your ticket.

The trick with westjet is to book economy then pay $50 to upgrade to 'Plus' when you check in online. It beats paying $225 extra when you book. Plus gives you free food and booze and more legroom. We do it all the time when going to Mexico

FLights and sights.

I'm sure the whole delegation will require a 'business' dinner at Moulin Rouge for about 400 Euro a plate on the taxpayer dime. I would also guess they won't be staying at the $75/night motel or flying economy.

Ever been 16th inline for take off in 40C in a country where pit stick is taboo?

It's the same as a bus.
Gas mask. And no, it is not the same. Flight time to go across Canada is about 9 or 10 hours. By bus, you may be parked beside the same smelly critter for a week.
It is definitely not the same even if you have to wait an hour or two before to.

We've never had the urge to go to Paris. I went to Ireland once as a kid with Mum & Dad. Spain, Portuguese, Italian countrysides might be nice. Cities do not interest us at all.

It's a nice place to visit for a week. You should go at least once. If you are a big art fan you want to go for 2 or 3 weeks.

I have lots of family in England so we usually try for 4-7 days in Paris when we visit. The Eurostar train through the 'Chunnel' is cool and does 200mph but you want to go 1st class instead of cattle-car. Winds up costing about the same as flying from London but actually takes less time by avoiding airport check-in and security.

Online tours are fine with me. Large multitudes of people put me off. At Expo 86, it was hard for me to wander around so I pretty much stuck to the Italian section and the theater where standup comics were.

There are some things in the national interest and this is I guess one of them.
As for taxpayers we are all taxpayers and we voted for what we got and we are
going to get what we got like it or not so get on the bus and enjoy the ride to
where I do not know.

How would this not have applied to the last government too? Hypocrite much?
