Prairies/Alberta have the highest rates of family abuse in Canada

This would explain why Ontario, with more urban centres, has less domestic violence than the Prairies/Alberta. People here are more socially in-tune with good conduct.

Well there's a leap in "logic"! More likely that they are under reporting instances elsewhere. But continue on with your wedge "politics" it's amusing.

It has nothing to do with residential schools. It's drugs/alcohol and the stresses of poverty.

Ontario...where the men are men and so are the women?

Hey now! Some of us are definitely women! ;)

All this study tells me conclusively is that Albertan women aren't putting up with crap.

Right on. Pretty much how I interpret it too.

Oh you must be mistaken, Fuzzy doesn't do wedge or divisive politics. He cries when people are divisive.

Fuzzy Wedge has a Harry Potter feel to it. Kind of fitting for someone so magically blind to his own partisanship.

Oh, maybe he could pair up with Wizard for a truly magical adventure!

That is when he's not drooling over his PM painting. I heard that it sold and I spy a new avatar!

Well, given their similarities, neither of them are honest about themselves, they would make a neat couple.

Ahhh yes, I noted that as well.

Neat in a weirdly dysfunctional kind of way, lol. Compelling like a train wreck, you know? As it is now, except times two. :)

Ahhh yes, I noted that as well.
Probably snapped a pic with the iPhone so the piece is always with him. ;)

Train wreck would be an excellent why to describe Fuzzy's trolling.

I hope he rubs off on it, instead of me from now on.

Doesn't even try to start off on the rails at all. It's kind of sad really.

I hope he rubs off on it, instead of me from now on.

Suburbs are pretty good too.

A ton of information is not listed - income- education levels- was it repeated - and yes the one no one will ask- Ethic backgrounds- drugs and alcohol abuse- problems with money- low incomes.
Shxt - Post something with information from Stats Can- It is available - analyze it - provide links - provide an opinion
I am tired of people just posting a fffn newspaper article - and this just does not apply to you.

Well that doesn't sell newspapers! Nor does it make for good trolling material!

It does get tiresome after a while eh?

Is it wrong of me to laugh at him than?

If laughing at him is wrong then I don't want to be right! ;)

I just hope it's not on my leg again!!!
Tuck your pants into your socks, just to be safe, k? Lol

Residential schools were not confined to the Catholic faith there were institutions
operated by protestants as well just not as many, but they did exist.
These people were of course saving the souls of those natives and bringing them
into the modern society that dumpthemonarchy wants.
Of course this was nonsense and it didn't work anymore the prohibition did.
There are other reasons for the jump though. We have problems on the Reserves,
that is only part of it. We also have areas of cultural history where women were not
equal by tradition. There are also a number of immigrant communities moving into
parts of the Prairie Provinces that have a history of male dominance.
young people are starting to stray from those old traditions slowly but more and more.
Arranged marriages, and cultural traditions are making way for the modern family by
the Canadian Standard. Hopefully we will see these figures ease over time. It should
be pointed out though, domestic violence is part of every community, and it includes
offenders from all ethnic backgrounds from the English to the Indo Canadians, Natives
and so on. There are some people who cannot adjust to the concept of social behaviour
and there is no group that is exempt.

Myself- I think some are to hard on MF - He is not a fool.

Goober, I've tried that route, I really have. What I end up dealing with is someone who behaves like a jackass with me. So I said no more, and I mean no more.

True, he's no fool. He may be dishonest, disingenuous, hypocritical, special interest Dipper shill and someones tissue.

But he's no donut.

Mmmmm, donuts. ;)

I don't think that would work to well. I grew up about 5 miles from where wizz kid lives and believe me flossy could not take the culture shock.
