At least a thief on the sneak wouldn't pick it up once he has opened the front door. You don't get bonus points showing up in the grave by being killed with your own defensive weapon. Do you have a scope on the one meant for 'indoor work'? Loaded and behind your bedroom door is the way it goes, thieves got in and rewrote that part just before publishing.
k....thanks for the tip MHz, I'll move it to the bedroom just in case

You are right. I have to be honest. She does get it from me. I talk to her, the other cats, the dogs, the plants, all as if they understand. Mind you I do sound like I'm talking to a baby or a toddler... gah! Not genetic though, environmental. she had to learn it from something. Poor silly kitty.
lol...I remember about 10 years ago when a new couple moved in down the hall from me..." how many grandchildren do you have she asked"...none I said..."oh" she said looking all puzzled..."that's strange, I thought I heard kids talking and running around frequently when I pass your door". Nah.,,,,that's just us....

this cat talks up a storm and sits pretty and begs for treats

animals are weird...both the fur kind and the human kind

That's why I love animals. Once they know you and you know them, the weirdness is awesomely entertaining and hilarious. I've yet to know an animal that is "normal". Goats, horses, dogs, cats, rats all once they know you and you know them are absolutely mad. lol

that's the truth, they are all so unique...they have their little personality traits and they evolve and change and adjust to household changes and develop strange little quirks that can be entirely endearing and sometimes entirely irritating in the dead of night especially

Media widely misreports that Pope Francis says dogs can go to heaven

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story wrongly suggested that Pope Francis said animals go to heaven. It has been corrected and the TODAY broadcast report has been taken down from the website.

Media reports that Pope Francis suggested that dogs can go to heaven circulated widely on Friday, wrongly reporting the Pope's original statement and the circumstances during which they were said.

Pope Francis never actually commented on the issue of whether dogs will do to heaven. According to Vatican Radio, the Pope said to a general audience (not a distraught boy as originally reported): "The Holy Scripture teaches us that the fulfillment of this wonderful design also affects everything around us.”

The misreporting stemmed from a report from the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, which interpreted the Pope's remarks to mean that dogs could go to heaven. The newspaper also drew comparisons to a quote from Pope Paul VI, which was then incorrectly attributed by many outlets to Pope Francis.

According to the Italian newspaper, it was Paul VI who had comforted a distraught boy with the words: “One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all of God’s creatures.'’

Many news outlets, including TODAY, NBC News, The New York Times and others, misreported that Paul VI's statements about dogs were said by Pope Francis. The Vatican itself and Pope Francis have not clarified confusion about the reports.

This story was originally published on Dec. 12 at 8:04 a.m. and misattributed comments to Pope Francis and misreported the circumstances of those remarks.

ha ha, too funny, yes they go to heaven, no they don't go to heaven...everyone goes to heaven...no you have to believe a certain thing to go to heaven...only a certain number of souls go to heaven

too excellent

Maybe when you die you are stuck with the mood you spent most of your life in?
well that's an interesting perspective...I have often thought that from a karma perspective if god has a sense of humour it would be entertaining to force us to judge ourselves exactly as we have judged and treated others

thus the more narrow and cruel your perspective the less your chances are of elevating yourself this time around

then you are stuck with a do over
