I would pay big money to be there in person to watch CK affect a citizens arrest on Harper... Slap his left hand on Stevie's shoulder, boldly announce that he's placing the PM in his custody and working feverishly to slap the bracelets onto his prisoner.

Yep I'd pay big money alright - even a premium price if there's a lawn chair and cooler of beer with a front-row, unobstructed view

I will bring the beer, you bring comfy chairs and a video cam. Pizza will be delivered.

Where have you been for the last seven years?

You're on!

Seeing how Stampede is just around the corner and Harper's riding is in SW Calgary; I expect that he'll be hosting some BBQ close to his constituency office (you getting this CK?).

I'll see what kind of chances we have of hiring some of the Budweiser bikini girls to assist us in our endeavours (the beer doesn't walk from the cooler all by itself ya know)

The flight jacket was a GIFT to the PM from a helicopter crew........

Feel stupid now??

You should.

There's no reason to get personal btw, it's a political discussion, if you can't distance yourself from the party or person you support enough to be objective then it's your critical thinking skills I question.

I am sure Steve will be the perfect gentleman and not pull the Chretien Choker or as it is really known as The Shawninigan Handshake.
Man I loved that.

Hey, CK, did you start that rumour about Harper killing kittens?

I'll bet it was you. :p

I think all your posts about Harper, the PMO and the Conservatives should go in the same thread. You've pretty much reached spam-like proportions.

Henderson's goal and Chretin's Shawinigan Handshake are among the top moments where I have bristled with pride in being a Canadian.. Who knows, with any luck, CK will provide Steve with the opportunity to establish the 'Harper Handshake'... I would have one more memorable moment to add to my list.

Dare to dream, eh bud?

That flight jacket is not part part of any official air force uniform. Real pilot wings are the following:

If there's a consequence to wearing military garb it should go to this guy...

I would object to someone wearing a uniform but Cretien seems to be wearing some sort of protective garb with no air force patches or rank insignia. I don't think it would be illegal.

What else did they have handy that was fire resistant for the PM to wear? That LL Bean get up he wore in A-Stan would have marshmallowed the guy in crash.

No, not illegal, no more than Harper's gifted flight jacket, but Chretien was just plain hilarious as he had the helmet on backwards. :joker:

hhmm Seems to me that I wore my dad's Ranger pin on my Lt. uniform (firefighter) for a few Nov 11s, but I had to show my dad was in the Forces and get permission from some branch of the military first. So, assuming Harpy had permission to wear the military suit and tags that he was gifted with, how is this illegal?
Was Harpy's dad in the Forces?

You are right. I thought he just looked sillier than usual. Never noticed that he had the helmet on a$$ backwards.
