Don't think the Iraq invasion is motive enough for a civil war or an uprising of any kind. It is over "there" somewhere in an area that according to many in the US is backwards and quite insignificant .......except for the natural resources it posesses. There is limited awareness of the culture of the area , except for what their media tells them. And now the culture has taken a new face a face that the US population can use to bash even further.
Seems that the only way the population in the US could be mobilized to truly stand up for their rights and constitution.....is when it affects them on a personal level. If they are not PERSONALLY affected, they seem indifferent. and self absorbed. In many ways , many in the US are simply conformists. .....and will support whatever jerk they "elect" into office as otherwise it is considered "unpatriotic".......so their gov't has a stranglehold on them with this ideology.
watched a segment on the tube last night about the "security" measures that are being planned. Seems that in about 10yrs every individual can be pinpointed as to location, all actions and a vast data base will be compiled that has ALL the information about each individual. One will not be able to sneeze without someone watching and recording it. "the land of the
free no more. A whole new society structure is evolving now.
