Gazans blow up Egypt border wall

Hundreds crossed the border after holes were made

Thousands of Palestinians have surged into Egypt from the Gaza Strip after masked militants blew several holes in a border wall.
Gazans rushed to buy food, fuel and other supplies that have become scarce because of an Israeli blockade - aimed at stopping rocket attacks from Gaza.

And Everybody in Europe looks on how the Israelites slowly strangle them to death!
From America I don't expect any protest, but Europe should be outraged and speak up for the Palestinians!!!
Is everybody afraid to displease Israel, because they have Mossad and the Atom Bomb??

While they are at it, they should keep going and rip down the entire wall!

USA taxpayers paid billions to tear down the communist Berlin Wall.

And now, USA taxpayers spend billions to keep up the fascist Israeli wall.

What an incredible irony.

I hope it never goes up again, the Palestinians do not deserve to be exterminated, Isreal must someday pay for the crimes, or there is no justice.
Beaver, ever heard the saying..."God's mill grinds slow, but very fine"?
We all will reap what we sow!

Anyway, I came to bring good news! Mr. Ohlmert is going to loosen his grip on the Palestinians, so they can quickly gulp for air before the next squeeze!

Gazans scrambled through the debris at the Rafah crossing

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said he will not let his country's blockade of the Gaza Strip turn into a humanitarian crisis.
But he said he could not allow Gazans to live normal lives while people in southern Israel were under rocket fire.
That eternal rag of an excuse!
Foreign ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki said the border would be closed again when all the Palestinians had returned.
At least they don't herd them back with police dogs and sticks.
The blockade imposed last week eased slightly on Tuesday to allow some fuel and medicines through, but Israel has now re-imposed the fuel restrictions.
A raw food diet supposedly is very beneficial and health-promoting!;-)

Speaking at a security conference, Mr Olmert vowed to keep up pressure on Gaza until rocket attacks from its territory ceased.
Soon they'll all be dead from dehydration, starvation, no medicine, no heating, no mail, no phones , no news... no hope!!

GAZA BLOCKADE Time Table:
17 January: Israel seals border following rise in rocket attacks
20 January: Gaza's only power plant to shuts down
22 January: Israel eases restrictions
22 January: Egyptian border guards disperse Palestinian protest against closure
23 January: Border wall breached

That was one whole week of "Lock-down"

Map of the Egypt-Gaza border area

"We expect the Egyptians to solve the problem," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel on Wednesday.

"Obviously we are worried about the situation. It could potentially allow anybody to enter."

We demand that our Arab brethren make a clear, practical and quick decision to take all measures and procedures to practically end the Gaza Strip siege

I think, this breach was a total success for the Palestinians! They drew big time attention to their plight under Israels boot. I, too, wish, the border will stay open, but that is up to Egypt.

Haven't you heard? Whenever something happens in the world, US Taxpayers are the ones footing the bill. That's where the Liberals got all that money during the Quebec Yes/No vote in the 90's..... Taxpayers in the US.

When the Soviets were building Nukes against the US, they made them from US Taxdollars. When Bush said he knew Saddam had WoMD, he knew, because they were made by money from US Taxpayers.

The whole world revolves around the US Taxpayer.... Everybody knows this.

Gazans bulldoze new section of Egypt border fence
Palestinians used a bulldozer to demolish a new section of the frontier with Egypt on Friday, allowing thousands of Gaza residents to stream across the border as security forces struggled to close off other holes in the barrier.
Since militants blew up part of the border on Wednesday, previously isolated residents of the Gaza Strip have enjoyed virtually free passage into Egypt.
The Gazans have been taking advantage of the opportunity to purchase goods not available in the Strip and visit rarely seen relatives, said CTV's Mideast Bureau Chief Janis Mackey Frayer.
Earlier Friday, security forces formed a human shield in an attempt to allow traffic to only flow one-way -- permitting Palestinians to return home after visiting Egypt.

Egyptian security forces fired into the air in an attempt to stop the flow of Palestinians, but were unable to hold back the crowds.

"This was a rare and golden opportunity for people and it's no wonder there were hundreds of thousands of people who went across to try and take advantage of it. Not only to stock up on things but as one man told me, just to feel like he was part of the outside world again," Mackey Frayer said on Friday.
"So for the Egyptian officials now to be telling people they have to go back, there's a real frustration, there's a tension, and they're hoping they can do this in an orderly fashion."

The development prompted Israel's deputy defence minister Matan Vilnai to say Israel wants to begin to hand over control of Gaza to Egypt, since the border divide had been opened.
Egypt quickly dismissed the suggestion.

According to United Nations estimated, roughly half a million people have crossed the border since it was blown open on Wednesday, Mackey Frayer said.

What an exhilarating feeling that must be for the Palis! I feel for them!
Why does there have to be a wall?

Well, they are all scratching their heads as to how resolve this wonderful mess! Hamas are the ones who celebrate a "victory"!! I just love it! It's so wonderful to open a fortified cage and let overjoyed humans out into a field of clover!!!

Abbas and Ohlmert are meeting today. The Israelites might want to seal their border completely and let Egypt deal with their stretch of Gaza border. Right now their maximum of 700 border police are completely outnumbered by a few hundred thousand Palis!!

Right now the Hamas is in control, directing the flow of traffic! Abbas is powerless and has to quietly stand by for now!

This is what I just found on my news ticker: http://tinyurl.com/2htzgy

Egypt closes border with Gaza

Last Updated: Sunday, February 3, 2008 | 5:12 PM ET

CBC News

Egyptian troops sealed the breached border with the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning, ending 11 days of free movement for Palestinians living in the blockaded territory.

Gazans remaining in Egypt and Egyptians visiting Gaza were allowed across the border, now reinforced with steel beams and newly poured concrete, but security officials prevented any new cross-border movement, according to witnesses.

For the last week and a half, hundreds of thousands of Gazans have been stocking up on supplies in the neighbouring country.
Militants from Hamas blew up sections of the dividing wall on Jan. 23 in response to an Israeli-imposed blockade, which began after the extremist movement gained control of Gaza last June.
Senior Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said after meeting with Egyptian officials on Saturday that the closure would be temporary while the Egyptians search for a way to reopen the border.
