Whatever the actual figure are, they're far enough away from "on the other hand the Palestinian factions showed commitment to the agreement" as to make the statement "on the other hand the Palestinian factions showed commitment to the agreement" an outright lie.

so was your crack about me having to stay in school so look who's talking.

The important point is both sides are fuelling hatred for each other. I really don't care WHO started it.

I stand by that crack. With a little motivation, you went from one katyusha to being well on your way to compiling a list of how many hundreds per month. You get an A for improvement, no doubt.

two entirely different questions

the katyusha strike is in reference to the timeframe of the topic

the qassam count is in reference to Colpy's claim

class dismissed.

I CONFESS.

I was wrong.

The Palestinians did NOT fire 1000 Katyusha rockets into Israel.

The 1000 rocket deal was from a Globe and Mail article in June about a town just over the border from Gaza that was shelled daily with much LESS effective home-made rockets.

Still, 1000 rockets is 1000 rockets, and can hardly be seen as the Palestinians living up to a ceasefire.

Did you actually say Katyusha rockets? Your post clearly says 1000 rockets, and it doesn't say it's been edited.

Anyway, doesn't matter. I think the point has been made...the Palestinian factions did not observe the ceasefire in any way, shape or form.

fair enough. its only natural for each side to claim they're innocent. frankly, I don't believe either of them any more.

Interesting link. I wonder what they mean by a terror act. It would be interesting to see the criteria.

The most substantial decrease in the number of terror acts was registered in the Gaza Strip, where attacks dropped by more than half from 2,637 in 2004 to 1,205 in 2005.

Yup. I'm just curious what is counted under that stat as a terrorist act...like when they catch a swishi bomber at a crossing, etc.

Post snipped ... sometimes when folks get banned, they just can't stay away. Dang, we're a popular crowd -- a zillion forums on the internet and folks are sneakin' into ours! ;) Cosmo

What? ARe you seriously this biased? There really is no point in debating with a nutcase sitting on a pole WAY OUT in left field.

The only decent peace deal the Iszraeli's have offered was Baraks' "most generous offer" called "unprecedented", the Camp David Accords.

The Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami responsible for that "most generous" deal now admits:
"... and if I were a Palestinian I would have rejected Camp David, as well."

And yet we have people here absorbed in the Israeli/US point ov view. I think the best thing is simply to place racists like Colpy on ignore, since you cannot reason with a racist.
