Good enough to see a large body of water. Yet not a single person in modern history has ever reported seeing flowing water or seas/oceans on Mars. Not one. Mars is a dead planet. It has no magnetosphere. No magnetosphere means no protection from solar radiation and nothing to keep the solar winds from blowing your atmosphere, or the bulk of it, away. That means no breathable air due to lack of air pressure and it also means any organic matter that might exist on Mars would have to be quite deep underground to avoid the constant bombardment from the full spectrum of high energy particles. It also mean there's no surface water. Mars is a dead world.
