You cannot stop a decline, what you can do is reduce the rate. Labor is cheap in a depression so big projects are cheaper to build but the date the return maxes out is a few years down the road, during the 'good times'.

I find it absolutely disgusting that a very minor percentage of the population try and succeed to dictate how the populace should think or act, and if the populace fight back they are embarrassed and shouted down until they give up and say whatever.

Oh, but they're not the minority, or so they'll tell you. You see, because Ford only garnered 40% of the vote, that means he doesn't speak for 60% of Ontarians. But the Wynned Bag's 38.65% of the vote was a clear cut mandate to do anything she wanted. You know, even though she didn't speak for 61.35% of Ontarians. But ALT-leftards have always been mathematically and numerically challenged. I'm also positive they don't quite get how the whole popular vote thing works, even in a faux democracy like Canada.
Here's a number for them though, 19.57%. That's how many Ontarians wanted more of the Libturd's shit. Even sadder is the fact that Whoresbath's Dippers have barely half the seats Ford's PCs do and yet she thinks she's running shit because it's their best result since Rae won.

Laziness, corruption, etc. from all the sh*tty city councils over the past decades.

It isn't rocket science. After Hurricane Hazel in 1954 Toronto put aside areas for flood control and forbade building in low lying areas (aka flood plains) over the decades these restrictions faded and in addition downtown areas that had been soil and grass for over a century were built over with the biggest mass building of condos in Canada. Surprise surprise! Even with underground catchment tanks, concrete just cannot absorb rain the way soil does and has done for millions of years.

Ditto for New Orleans which continued to build below sea level.

The crooks and idiots we will always have with us.:-(

What is happening? Nothing economic or legal has changed yet. Instead of parading your ignorance, try giving us some real facts.

So far the only concrete actions the Ford government has taken is to revert the sex ed curriculum to the 1998 version; hardly a radical thing. He has also changed the number of Toronto councilors and changed the riding boundaries to match the Provincial and Federal ridings. Under law he has an absolute right to do so.

Exactly whatis your problem?
