That's really cheap compared to PEI. Service charge is $26.92 a month. With new legislation, the residential rate is down to $0.1205 cents per kilowatt hour up to the first 2000 kwh used, and $0.0920 for everything above 2000 kwh. I don't even save money if I do laundry at 1 am.

They only activated that "smart meter readings" billing last month, so since most of my high energy appliance such as kitchen stove, hot water heater, furnace are gas, it only leave the clothes dryer which when the one we now have gives up.....I will have to compare the cost and instalation of a gas one and how many years it will take to become cost effective.....or keep drying the clothes after 7P.M.:smile:
