When I built my house, I applied for the GST rebate, the government didn't ask to see my receipts either.

When I filed my income tax, the government didn't ask me to submit all my slips.

But had they asked for it you would have been expected to produce. I can tell you that, just finishing my own income tax review.

If no one has seen the details are you making the statement they spent
the money fighting the conservatives or is that another of those put the
headline out there not knowing what the facts contain.
Bargaining unit members in both government and private sector are paid
while conducting negotiations that has been the case for more than half
a century at least if not longer. The expenses are paid and the receipts
come in later if there is a dispute it is conducted by a resolution comity
We are likely dealing with a tempest in a teapot

The Teflon is strong and this will be forgotten just like the federal campaign manager thing.

Conservatives just have very little to work with and that makes them a poor opposition.

I don't give a sh*t if they are paid and their expenses reimbursed. I do care that the govt is paying for both sides. The union and it's members should be paying for their own team not stealing it from the taxpayers.

No receipts?

Whoever heard of such a thing?

Schreiber was summoned to the prime minister’s summer residence at Harrington Lake in June 1993, then the two met again not long afterward in a Montreal hotel where Schreiber handed Mulroney an envelope stuffed with $100,000; the rest of the $300,000 Mulroney received from Schreiber came always in cash and always in hotels.
