Well, it's looking like Russia's T-90 tank is another paper tiger. Seems that even light damage in the turret area causes the turret to spin uncontrollably. Meanwhile Ruzzia is too scared to field anymore of their T-14 Armatas in Ukraine. And this is the problem when you yammer on about something being a prestige piece of military equipment. Seeing them get knocked out/destroyed is bad for morale and makes you look weak.
They also turn that thinking around when it comes to their enemies. Like, I don't know where the Ruzzian propagandists get their info but no one ever said the M1 Abrams was indestructible. Yet they act like it's major victory when an M1 (or Leopard or Challenger) gets knocked out. 'Yay, we knocked out an M1 Abrams. We'll just ignore the 7 tanks and 14 APCs we lost in the same battle. That'll show those stupid Americans."

Taiwan isn't about need. It's about forcing ALL Chinese people to be oppressed by the CCP. Even if they weren't born in or ever visited mainland China. Xi sees the entire Chinese diaspora around the world as ALL belonging to the PRC.
Taiwan is smoke and mirrors. They need access to the northern Pacific. Period. While at it, Siberia clear through to Yakutia if the Kazakhs go along. If not, Siberia is plenty.
