I doubt if he was in a very enviable position..................no telling what kind of sh*t was added to his meals!

No I wouldnt envy anyone in prison for life. Personally I'd probably do the same if I was looking at life in prison. Call it cowardly if you wish - makes no difference to me.

Absolutely- By the time he committed suicide his reputation had already reached rock bottom (deservedly so), so it really couldn't get any worse.

If I were him, I would have just gritted my teeth and bared it.

I would have just kept telling myself: "Right, all I have to do is complete my life sentence then, once that done, I then have just another 1000 years to serve. Then after that, I'll be free!"

I'd probably mark each day of with little tallies chalked on the wall.

I'm disappointed that he offed himself. He needed to suffer on this side of the curtain for a tad longer. I do find the suicide to be highly suspicious and I'm certain he was assisted in both time alone as well as procedure because I don't think hanging ones self with a bed sheet in a prison cell within a half hour time span is very plausible.

Just sayin'.

What kind of suffering did you have in mind?
The court process and him having to hear what he did to the girls and actually face them and then go back to his tiny barred home...just like he did to them except he lived in luxury comparatively speaking.

Also his neighbours would not be very supportive.

You'd be surprised. It would depend mostly on how hard a man he was in prison.

he didn't fair so well for very long...I would imagine it had to do with his need for control...he had zero, just like his victims... would have been good to make him live for ten years...but for whatever reason they decided to allow him to off himself.
