That is not the point. The present economic and monetary systems are ridiculously unsustainable and based on nothing tangible. What they are trying to do is collapse the system to force governmemnts and bankers to come up with something more sustainable and sensible. Revolutions doesn't always have to involve bloodshed.

This project helps prop up the current system. It doesn't hurt it in any way.

All of those donors just made people who trade in the secondary debt market 400k richer.

At the price they paid for that debt, clearly the company selling the debt had little to no expectation that the debt would ever be paid off. The Rolling Jubilee people were probably more than happy to let the seller pile mountains of complete junk that was just going to be written off into the package because it would make their stats look better.

The people who owed the debt were never going to pay it off, so they are not really practically better off. It is just the finance guys who profit off this.

If the organization grows, it will just pump more and more money into the hands of the financial guys who operate in this market.

The problem is the revolution is really underway. People are dissatisfied
Whether it be government corporations and institutions. people are now
waiting for something to happen. Another problem is people are disconnected
from the reality that their retirement investments are tied up in the shares of the
very institutions they condemn. Instead of exercising their efforts and interests
into ensuring ethics they have in a way made their own investments their enemy.
This restless dissatisfaction is a fuse. Not the major act but the fuse. At some
point confidence will erode and when that combines with fuses and unpredictable
social economic sparks the whole unsustainable system will collapse.
We have seen it in every civilization in history and its coming to a moment in time
near you and I.
Once we have a 2008 downturn that is not bailed out all hell will break loose. The
reason it won't be bailed out next time is the money is already spent

WorldNetDaily Ties Pope Francis To The KGB | Right Wing Watch

Ultra right wing WorldNetDaily equates the Pope with the KGB.

Typical Republican McCarthyite Godwinism where anyone who dares to disagree with their far right delusionalism is, somehow, a communist.

Earlier this week, WorldNetDaily argued that Pope Francis’ criticism of capitalism is making Jesus Christ “weep in heaven.” Now, the conservative outlet is trying to use the new pope’s social justice teachings to tie him to the KGB. Of course, social justice has been a core teaching of the Roman Catholic Church — among other Christian denominations — since long before Francis became pope.
In a column entitled “Communism and the Pope,” WND’s Ileana Johnson Paugh writes that she “traces Francis’ thinking to KGB-influence in S. America” and argues that social justice is not connected to the teachings of Jesus Christ but actually a “Soviet communist-led idea” that helped the KGB “infiltrate” the Catholic Church.
