Compelled to have insurance.... Once they are mandatory, how many insurance companies don't take advantage of it?

The malarky is, that under his plan, there is no guarantee of success.
Ummm, more likely the insurance companies. Especially since it will now be a crime not to pay one.
You gotta love it when one is mandated to pay the rich to stay healthy.
So where's the health in this?

Of course it, even though it doesn't exist anywhere on earth. But forcing people to pay large companies, seems unhealthy to me. Yet here we are, surrounded by praise for a man, that just made it illegal not to make rich people, more rich...
I'm still looking for the health in this.
Tax credit for those who can't afford it...Nothing is ever guaranteed..But it is better than what was in place...Better than the rep alternatives..Pay for Death
More money for R & D ,Health care for all , is the only real solution for health care..The rich are always first..They have all the money ..Fact of life..Money rules our Civilized Human World..

I will admit I kind of like Obama, but he really didn't do anything monumental here.
All he did was put forced onus on the people to get health insurance. What if you can't pay, but fail to meet the requirements of subsidizing?
Kind of like how legal aid in Canada works. If you make x, you are presumed to be able to afford to provide your own counsel. Yet for most, to do so, they have to sell or heavily leverage their home.
American healthcare packages aren't cheap.
Now If the state was going to pick up the tab, then you'ld see me get all tingly and bubbly about it.
That's an after thought on your part and their certainly isn't any legislation in place to guarantee it.
No it's not. The US could have cut spending on several wasteful ventures and focused funds on real healthcare reforms. It didn't.

True.. Obama has alot of power and has to please alot of people , including big money ..He did a good job at finding a balance ..All he could do ..For now..He set the Health care reform in motion ..It will build momentum ..It will change the landscape of America in the future for the better..
People who can't afford to pay ..Won't have to pay .They have medicare..This Health care reform bill was for the middle class ..Who can't get medicare..Can't afford high Insurance fee's..It's a middle class Health pot.Will help cut costs...It's a win/win for Americans....

Funny, I support public healthcare. I don't support hurting the little man, or forcing people to pay large corporations.

No, no, no, no. This is where you are mistaken. Really mistaken. If you are poor you are covered. Meaning if you are on welfare, food stamps, public housing...simply not working ...you are covered. They've been covered for quite some time. They are all set.
If you are working at ANY job and for some reason do not have Health Insurance you will be mandated to GET Health Insurance. You ARE going to pay for it. The government will decide if your insurance payments need to be subsidized. They will look at how much you (or combined income if married) make a year and say you MUST pay X Amount for health insurance.

That's the IRS baby. The Govt. knows the IRS are the best hunting dogs to get money.
He doesn't do anything. He gambles and hopes he doesn't get sick. If he does he gets a bill and he pays or works out a payment plan.
Why should we give the health plan time to work, evryone knows that we are flowing over with extra money at this time and can afford such a experiment at this time.. All we can do is Pray for Obama Psalm 109:8.

As for geographical size, that has little to do with it. Ever hear of a federal system? You just layer it and decentralize it to the local community. Bingo, problem solved.
