Eaglesmack, you're wasting your breath, the leftard Kanadians are pissed off because Cuba was the only place they can go without any Americans being around. Now they will do the world a favor and stay home.

Conan O'Brien in Cuba:

Watch Conan O'Brien Join Salsa Band During Cuba Visit | Rolling Stone

Over the past few months, the United States has slowly been peeling back the rigid Kennedy-era embargo placed on Cuba, allowing citizens to freely travel and eventually trade with those on Fidel Castro's turf. On Wednesday night's Conan, Conan O'Brien became the first late-night host to tape a show from the island nation in over 50 years. For the Conan in Cuba special, O'Brien eschewed celebrity interviews for a travelogue of the country combined with his unique and hilarious look at Cuba and its music-loving culture.

O'Brien's visit to Cuba included stops at the country's famed cigar factories, a walk along Havana's El Malecón waterfront promenade and Spanish lessons. However, the highlight of the Havana trip came when O'Brien attempted to learn "the authentic Cuban salsa." The host teamed up with the popular salsa band Moncada to learn the art and timing of "the clave" as well as how to sing from the nose.

Once O'Brien got his timing down, he and Moncada jammed out on a song featuring lyrics that stretch the limits of the host's Spanish vocabulary, with the translated lyrics devolving from "What a way to love, what a way" to "I am Nutella, I am Nutella" and "Hamburger water." Despite the ridiculous lyrics, O'Brien proclaimed of the energetic performance, "That's a hit record!"

With the embargo ending, O'Brien also introduced the country to his patented String Dance while taking rumba lessons. Watch the whole episode at the Team Coco site.

If it hadn't been for the idiotic embargo put on Cuba and maintained by the right wing delusionals, the reformers would have changed things a long time ago and lots of Yanks would be having a hot time there.

Now it's time to give back Guantanamo and all will be well.

Thanks to President Obama there will now be a HUGE influx of Cuban ball players into the Major Leagues such as:

Red Sox agree to deal with Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada - Sports - The Boston Globe

The result will mean BILLIONS of dollars into Cuba's economy.

MLB is 1/3 Hispanic and that percentage will increase drastically. Who knows? MLB may have to create its own brand of affirmative action in order to keep the leagues at least partly white.

You would be foolish to think Cubans are not amazing players, look at all the rich Dominicans though, they haven't exactly made their country rich. In my opinion, you get one of those contracts and never look back.

As of 2008 MLB brought in hundreds of millions into DR:

Sports Around the World: History, Culture, and Practice - Google Books

The number is now into the billion plus and will increase.

Cuba baseball professionalism is only starting now and MLB recruitment will shift there from DR. Because of its proximity to Florida it will greatly increase the tourist trade as well. DR is at a disadvantage tourism wise as Puerto Rico is a big competitor for tourist dollars. Now both economies will lose that type of money to Cuba.

Let us hope the same can happen for Cuba then! I didn't realize the economic benefit DR received.

All from San Pedro de Macoris - just one city has produced this many players. Imagine the economic impact this has had on their home town. Cuba has a bigger population than DR and will likely produce even more players.

DR's only real big sport is baseball. But Cuba is a world power in basketball and track & field meaning that many of those athletes will be coming into our shores as well. And that will also bring in huge amounts of dollars.

Back in the 1930s Cuba was a world power in soccer. It's a good bet they will amp up that program as well.
