I wonder how that would balance out if she were full-time and receiving benefits.I think the doughheads should just up full-time wages a bit and hire more nurses.
As long as there is $10 an hour more to made in warm sunny southern US, there will continue to be a shortage of quality staff.

It must be the unions that make it so CDNs get paid less?

Does he practice the dark arts? Because it would take black magic. That ship, believe me, has sailed. Lol

The smart ones. The ones that embrace life. The ones that fear fiery death.

No doubt.... Based on the OP, this nurse was paid almost 4 times the base salary... You'd think that the health authority would recognize that they could afford 3 additional F/T individuals for the same cost.

How far does that $10/hr go in paying the nurses medical insurance? Besides, the HMOs pile a very large workload onto the shoulders of the nursing team.

The irony is palpable

First people have to show up. THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

It goes a looooooooong way. If it didn't we wouldn't be losing the best to the US would we? Think about it.

They do show up - in droves in fact.

If you still feel that way, you can always open the doors to privatization. You can bet that you won't see this kind of scenario in that environment.

They do? So why all the overtime that is obviously double and triple time from holidays to hit 350K? If it's mandatory to have X amount on staff on per shift, why are they short that somebody can make all that OT? It's because people are lazy and drink or too fvcking good to work holidays, weekends and nightshifts.

Is that the fault of Unions? Lefties? Doukhobors? Piano Tuners? or Obama?
