Apology not accepted. Issuing an apology for something that you knew was wrong is not a real apology.

I'm sure I'll blend right it. Last time I was in Scarborough, the locals surprised me more than I did them. I expected everyone to react in surprise at my knowledge of Chinese. They didn't bat an eye. Seems they're used to white guys knowing Chinese over there.
So to anyone who thinks you can badmouth whites in Chinese and get away with it, think twice before you do so.
I think she was probably not so much looking for a white doctor as looking for a Canadian doctor.

For my part, I know we had trouble with a Lebanese doctor over my mother. He ignored her complaints that her prescription wasn't working until I went in to see him. Likewise a very liberal friend of mine, always votes NDP, has just dumped her Indian doctor because she says he was ignoring her complaints. I think some of these people from certain countries have a very paternalistic attitude towards women.

Any of these foreign trained doctors who don't adhear to Canadian behoiur standards when it comes to dealing with patients should be reported to the Medical Profession and they should have their license lifted or at least suspended.
I really don't see why we should be immigrating Doctors anyways. This is one of the best Professions in Canada, it is government funded,, and it should be exclusively for Canadian borns only !!

Canadian. born doctors don't want to practice medicine in Kapuskasing. Lots of them go south for the $$$$$$. Some of them come back after the realise that the US is in the process of falling apart.
The way to fix that is to up the pay rate for doctors in Kapuskasing.
But we also have a general shortage of doctors because the provinces deliberately keep it that way.
It's been more than a decade. Has it gotten better? Nope. The provinces won't fund the number of spaces at university, and won't fund the number of internships and residencies in hospital they need after that. They figure the fewer doctors we have the less they have to pay.
It's not overly difficult to grasp this womans' angst driving her to lash out, the luxury of a family doctor that she like thousands of others in the gta never get to enjoy frustrates. Ending up with disinterested clinic medical practitioners with limited english and a production line attitude angers many she just happened to get her tirade posted online. Healthcare in ontario is as lacking as queens park savvy.

Actually I feel she was quite restrained, trying to navigate health care services in the gta can be a huge challenge, accumulated dead ends while trying to get care for her son fuels aggravation and most likely lit her fuse. The media stresses her white guy plea but ignores her plea for a doc that can communicate in english, a reasonable request as I see it.

Consequently, even those who don't know English well can ply their trade with patients who don't know English themselves so as to free up space for English-speaking docs to serve English-speaking patients. Sounds good. We do have an issue, here in BC with Strata councils holding the meetings in 'chinese' but some owners don't speak it. We have issues with signage in Richmond not including english. I have no issues with a business having signage in the owners language, but it should include the language of business too: English.
We have street signs in Delta and Surrey that are in Punjabi, but also English. In Canada, you should learn english, so if you need help and nobody near you speaks your native tongue you can still get help.
Doctors should speak english in Canada. Dentists should speak english in Canada. Everyone in Canada should speak english. I have no problems if your english is not very good, but try, learn, your in Canada and this is our official language. It's the language of business.

Actually, probably most Quebec high school teachers couldn't speak English if their lives depended on it. Only in some municipalities like Montreal or Gatineau might most teachers know English.
