what about able bodied mentally ill or unbalanced...how do you feel about them?

I'm ashamed to hear that the BC LIBERALS closed down the hospitals that helped those people.. (crony capitalism)

However, in the USA there are places that offer the handicap a chance at a better living. I used to pick up shipments in the DFW area going to Cleveland. I don't see the same in Canada, which is sad, yet in a Republican state, they give aid and tax breaks to companies like this..

Rather than sending our jobs to China and India..

They have handicap workers assemble boxes, or assemble other products, or sort items to be packaged.

why? how'd you even get the money/ passport at an age you probably were fresh out of highschool to go to L.A ?

I worked in Canada..

Between Canada and the USA you just need a drivers license, nothing more.. until Obama

This is where you learned your compassion for immigrants I guess.

Yes, I am pro-immigration, so is Jeb Bush.. ;)

I learned from the American left that mercy can never be shown. The American left only understands fire and sword.
isn't it the fire and the sword mentality that are currently destroying your nation, the me first, screw the rest...whatever happened to the:
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

isn't the above quote and attitude what once made your country great?

German airline could face 'unlimited' damages for crash blamed on co-pilotKarl Ritter, The Associated Press

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Lufthansa could face "unlimited" compensation claims for the crash that killed 150 people in the French alps and it would be difficult, even counterproductive, for the German carrier to try to avoid liability, experts said Friday.
Under a treaty governing deaths and injuries aboard international flights, airlines are required to compensate relatives of victims for proven damages of up to a limit currently set at about $157,000 -- regardless of what caused the crash.
But higher compensation is possible if a carrier is held liable.

No amount of money is going to come close to actually compensating though.

I don't know, it'll eat a good chunk of their assets I'd bet. And this will be the reason why there will be stricter medical assessments of pilots. And of course expect air fares to go up.

actually, it's surprising this hasn't happened before...probably has but couldn't be proven OR more likely they were able to cover it up

don't know, but it isn't like psychosis is new so, it must have happened right?

How is it the fault of the airline? Did they improperly screen the co-pilot? Should doctors have to immediatly report their patients health to the employer if that patient is a pilot?
