Well, technically, they are not yet back to normal. Still, they're probably one of the best countries in the world that handled this pandemic well.

I was right...

Trouble in 'zero Covid' paradise? Jacinda Ardern under fire for unleashing social media mob on worker she criticised for failing to isolate - as Auckland enters ANOTHER week-long lockdown over 11 cases

Jacinda Ardern under fire for criticising worker for failing to isolate as Auckland enters

Jacinda Ardern has come under fire after publicly calling out a KFC worker for heading into work instead of self-isolating after coming into contact with Covid-19. The New Zealand prime minister has been praised for her handling of the pandemic, with the island nation suffering few cases, but there are now fears of a new outbreak. Auckland has re-entered a Level Three lockdown after a new cluster of 11 cases was identified at a school (right) and Ardern said 'everyone is angry' with rule-breakers who have 'let the rest of us down'.

I can see that lockdowns work really well. They're doing wonders in New Zealand.

They did, until some self absorbed idiot decided not to follow the rules...

It doesn't matter how they don't work, all that matters is that they don't work.

And if that munter schoolgirl that runs New Zealand thinks she can get "Zero Covid" then she's going to be disappointed. Covid is here to stay and we're going to have to start living with it without lockdowns and social distancing, just like we do with cold and flu.

You're being stupider than normal, Miss Blackie.

Yes, it DOES matter how they don't work. If you don't know how it doesn't work, then you can't do something so it DOES work.

You're just jealous the "munter schoolgirl" is smater than you, better looking than you and more popular than you (and NZ beats out the UK in being smart when it comes to Covid).

And funny thing, all the masking has kept the cold and flu stats down this year. Amazing, huh?

They work so well that everytime they take us out of one they quickly put us back into another one.

That doesn't fit my definition of "working."
You don't evaluate evidence at all, much less with any complexity or subtlety.

You make an emotional snap judgement of whatever the issue at hand is, then cherry-pick the facts to support that snap judgement.

As do most folk.

No. What's kept the cold and flu stats down at the moment is that so many cold and flu cases are being recorded as covid cases.

1 CASE 😣 New Zealand Back in Lockdown

So the previous lockdown worked well, didn't it?

Can you imagine a Prime Minister suggesting a "Zero Cold" strategy?
