wages to third world standards

didn't we already determine that BC has Canada's 3rd highest average wage (behind AB and ON) and it was within pennies.

You will never understand what provides dollars for the services you want will you!

I hope you have sombody (other than yourself) balancing your checkbook!

There is a study out on the degrading of the health care system since the liberals were elected in british columbia. I will provide a link to that study. It shows how the liberals have closed 2,529 hospital beds and created 1,065 assisted living residential care. 1,400 few bed than 2001. Home support at the same time is being reduced, these services have falen 30 percent under the liberals. We are now the second lowest in Canada. The study is 54 pages, and I will provide the link to the report of the study.

Many of these seniors end up in the emergency room, it is a contributing factor to the emergency room crisis. The data collected in the report has been verified by health authorities themselves.

so - are you saying that our health care system was in BETTER shape when the NDP was in power?

What is the NDP's plan for health care? It seems to me that the NDP cares only about one thing when it comes to health care, and that is satisfying their friends in Big Labour - NOT patient care!

I haven't seen ANY evidence that the NDP has some magic solution to health care at all.

I appreciate that you [pea] are in the health care field, and that you see first hand problems in the health care system. However, the NDP does not have any solution, they only point out the problems. What is their solution???

Sig, what is the point of creating programs so that the elderly can live as independently, as long as possible, if you are going to cut and underfund the home support system. It does not make any sense to me.

Its plain to see who you work for Sig .Every time I sign on you are on the top of this thread spinning the Libs lies. What a joke

I work for a PRIVATE SMALL BUSINESS! I do not work or volunteer for the Liberals - I will however will not think twice about voting for them...I can tell you that the community in which i live will have a liberal win the seat hands down! I dont even know who the NDP candidate IS in my riding (I dont think anyone would be brave enough to admit that they support that bunch of incompotents)...people in this riding are small business people, and realize that the NDP is all about choking the economy (through increased taxes on small business and ridiculous levels of red tape).

That is why you see me on the top of this post all of the time...because I remember the 90's...I remember all of the small businesses which were going BROKE.[/quote]

I get it pea...however, what is the NDP's answer to the problems, if that is who you are voting for?

Yoda , all you're doing is finding another way to attack the NDP for something and trying cleverly to ignore the fact that the Liberals have only made worse what already was bad.Has the Liberal cut backs to health care, privatising and firings improved anything ? As for the NDP's satisfying their friends in labor ??? Address the Liberals staifying their friends in big business for me please .Thanks for allowing me to jump in.

Its a simple question really, and I hope someone will answer me. Why create a program that implies independent living for seniors, and than underfund and cut the very program that would make that possible. I really would like to try and understand the reasoning for this.

Cuts to health care??? We did determine that BC has the highest per capita health care spending in the country. Where we saw cuts was in the elimination of 46 health regions, saving the health care system $100 Mil. By contracting out some health services such as catering, janitorial, and cleaning, this has saved the health system money as well. After all, if I go to the hospital, I want the newest up-to-date equipment, not some overpaid cafeteria cashier.

The Liberals have made it easier for both big and small business to invest in BC. I work for a company with 4 employees. We have noticed a major difference in our economy, and I can say that this was not happening under the NDP. We are also FAR FROM BIG BUSINESS!

Bottom line: if you want a job, you NEED business to supply those jobs. If the jobs aren't there, you may have to move out of the province, just as thousands of people did under the NDP's 10 years of decline!

Robin is a Canadian poet, writer and activist, insignificant. To try to compare him to a terrorist only shows your fear of people who dare to talk back to you and your ilk.

Given the overwhelming support for Cambell, it would seem that the people of B.C. support his agenda, and that your poet/writer/activist is just voicing sour grapes.
