Colpy voting for a "left/centre-left" party. That would be the day, lol

Either way, I'm glad we have three fairly recognized parties instead of two so that we have some choice in the matter. The people who want the Liberals and NDP to merge in this fight to defeat Harper are giving up their democracy just to have power.

oh great! does this mean that if an American drug maker doesn't comply with our law we can extradict them to Canada to face justice? Can't wait for that test case!

Northern Ontario,
Hmmm...well I agree with the overall concept....it is nice to have people follow in the path that I trod....although I admit I completely skipped the Liberals when I took up voting again after my divorce from the NDP.........and went straight to the neo-Liberals, Mulroney's PC Party. THAT lasted all of one election.........before I discovered the Reform Party.

:)

It would be most amusing to see the Liberals actually elect a leader of note, one sane enough to keep a strong military, live up to our international commitments to our allies, ignore the UN when they are being useless, dismantle the worst aspects of the Nanny State, be fiscally responsible, legalize marijuana, kill mandatory sentencing, and STAY THE HELL OUT OF MY GUN LOCKER!!!!

Mentalfloss and I could wind up voting for the same party....

:) The Horror! The Horror!

I've been burned too many times by the Liberals..
The first time it was wage and price controls two weeks after we had negotiated a contract (returning from a 5 month strike/lockout) and implemented a couple of months later, but retroactive to before the signing of the contract, so we had to refund money to the company.

Next came the gun registry...

Then in '97 they dropped the capital gains exemption from 500K to 100K just before We were due to sell shares at a thousand % profit, that the employees had purchased in the company we worked for, 7 year before, and I ended up paying a bundle in taxes that I wouldn't have had to pay.
