Mulcair supports the east/west pipeline and always has. If this is the
direction Canada takes legislation would not be necessary as it would
be a distribution policy done by concuss. In addition the Tory Premier
of Alberta supports a form of National Energy Policy as I do nothing
wrong with that at all. We should be taking care of Canadians first.
In addition where I differ from Mulcair or Alberta, is we should have a
Canadian price and an export price. If our neighbours don't like it too
bad.
Of course I am against the NAFTA and other Free Trade deals as well.
Not for environmental reasons either. We own the resources and we
should be using them for maximum benefit. Water, power, oil and gas.
We will sell to who can come up with cash at a Canadian price.
I do not support Northern Gateway the company trying to build it has
not been forthright with the people of BC and they don't have a good
track record in the area of safety.

If it wasn't a pre-existing line to be converted but a fresh line, econauts would blow gaskets and babble on about how precious N ON muskeg is.

Would you have a problem if the Canadian price was higher than the global one?

Maybe we have production areas dedicated to Canadian supply (and price) that have an extra special tax exempt status from Federal taxes... That work for you?

Holy cow man... I never realized that the simple observations I made on different threads are gnawing away at you this badly.

To be perfectly honest, I thought that it was idle banter, but clearly you have internalized this pretty heavily. Did I really strike a cord so loudly that you are now questioning your base position on things?

I hope not..... Ah, who am I kidding; it think it's a blast.

I ought to know, as I've followed quite a few false ones...

A little on the cryptic side, for me at least. In what way do I sound like the people of Greece?

Judging by popular media coverage life in Greece has the potential to be somewhat harsh from a middle class stance...so no, I don't suppose I'd like to be in their boots. Austerity measures seemed to be in order from a superficially informed standpoint but cutting things like pension, for example, seems somewhat knee jerkish when you just know the status quo doesn't change for those in the right places, only for those without the power to effect change.

I don't understand how Greece's economy grows for 14 consecutive years (wiki) and then tanks at the first dip in the curve. Sounds like Alberta....boom boom BUST...
