really? so when you speak of morality to what are you referring?

I'm glad you asked, Sal. For me, morality has to do with human relationships. It includes both code (personal moral beliefs) and conduct (personal moral practice).

Gladly, Sal. Although online discussion format and Netiquette do not necessitate it, I believe (code) in polite and personal conversation that includes addressing people (conduct) by online name. Thank you for modeling this moral behavior : )

Give into your anger, it gives you focus, it makes you stronger. Good guys finish last, always have. Always will.

The world is. Nothing can change that. Just put on a bad a$$ grin, go out there and get your own.
Whining about it won't change a thing. Psychotic behaviour gives you more chance of success. Embrace it.

It's called survival.
And bad a$$ dudes will always win over little whining shemales.
That's millions of years of evolution at work.

you know that's an interesting point... I first noticed it way back when all those team games came out like Survivor and The Amazing Race. It is an opportunity to observe direct effects of certain kinds of behaviour.

this is what we noted over time...anger, manipulation and cheating will have a very direct and almost certain positive return immediately

however, over time as the show progresses forward, those people never ever have won, people never like them although they may fear them, people may even help them in the short term, but never in the long term

thus from purely a point of observation, I would disagree

Based on reality TV.
But in real life. Most amazing success where created by really really bad a$$ dudes.
They don't play fair, they play for keeps and they don't mind killing you for it.

and to address this part: there is a book written by Viktor Frankl called Man's Search for Meaning about survival in the concentration camps...he noted that it was not in fact the physically strong that survived, (bad azzed dudes) it was in fact the mentally and emotionally tough and those who got a long with their fellow inmates and did acts of kindness...

interesting huh, surprising maybe too...Viktor Frankl - Holocaust Survivor and Famous Author/Psychoanalyst

no Angstrom, it is not so... what goes around comes around...honestly and for real...what we put out is exactly what comes back, it may come back in another form but it always comes back

good or bad

Again. Like reality TV your examples are of exceptional situations.
Why do Bullies actually do better then nice people in most work environments?
Why are bullies rewarded more often with a promotion?

I believe as you age you will come to see, bad azzed dudes are not happy, zenned out dudes...they are miserable because misery is what their behaviour draws to them... remember our conversation 20 years hence :D

Elimination game shows - great example of moral decline in contemporary Western culture, Sal. In my lifetime, the winner's claim has regressed from "My IQ is bigger than yours" to "I'm more deceptive and cut-throat than you."

I do what I must to survive. Right now I need to feed my family. Pay the bills etc... Just hope your not in my way of accomplishing that. Cause you'll be on the take down.

20 years from now, I'll likely be a Grand Father. A good time for being zen.

yeah but the deceptive cut-throats never win, that is the interesting part...as for TV yes, most of it is drek.

These immoral practices continue today, Tbones.

So what? Life's not fair, never has, never will be. Immoral practices have always existed. They actually have been the norm. Embrace our true nature. Humans aren't nice. Accept your inner evil.
