Avro, I will "slink away" from nothing.

Michelle Obama's main objective is to regulate food. Physical excercise appears to be an afterthought in the article I quoted, sandwiched between two food-related items.

Besides, my point was that a person who is grossly obese herself (just look at her from neck or at least from waist down) should be careful yakking about obesity.

I would think that learning what 'obese' means might be a useful thing for you to do.

Maybe Michelle Obama is NOT obese, she just looks obese.

And if she is so concerned about children, maybe she should make a strong statement to let children be born first, before worrying about their obesity.

As soon as she will gather up the nerve to oppose her husband's cruel and sadistic stance on abortion, I promise I will fully support her crusade (sorry if I offended her husband using that word) on child obesity.

Rush Limbaugh says First Lady is no swimsuit model

Radio host Rush Limbaugh poked fun at Michelle Obama's waistline Monday; the latest entry in a string of conservative attacks on the First Lady's anti-obesity campaign.
During his show yesterday, Limbaugh pounced on a report that the Obama family (minus the president) had dined on ribs while vacationing in Vail, Colo.:

Did he also tell you what she actually ate?

Did you try and find out?

Well gosh a black lady eating some ribs.....hot damn those colored folk sure do like them ribs.

Here's some truth.....

The Vail Daily first reported what Obama ate for dinner over the weekend, but provided more information on Tuesday: the first lady dined on a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sautéed kale.
The meal, in fact, was a healthy one consisting of a five-ounce serving of meat braised until most of the fat cooked off. It weighed in at 600 calories, restaurant owner Kelly Liken told the paper.

Liken, a one-time Top Chef contestant, also said Obama chose her eponymous restaurant because of its association with a local school program that teaches schoolchildren to grow produce in a greenhouse.

I have no idea why First Ladies always have to take up a cause. Why can't they just be First Ladies?

Nancy Reagan had the "Just say NO to drugs" cruseade. Ended in failure.
Hillary Clinton thought that universal helth care was Utopia. Another failure.
Laura Bush championed literacy. Based on the 2008 Presidential elections, that was another colossal failure.

Now this. Has it ever occured to anyone that banning dodge ball, banning playing tag, dropping Physical Education classes, dscouraging competition (i.e. everyone gets a trophy, win or lose) and sit-oh-your-ass computer games have contributed to child obesity?

At least Laura Bush was a librarian and knew what she was talking about.
Laura's cause was close to her heart. She slept beside an illiterate.

Speaking of Rush, I heard he got married again last year. Wife number 4 isn't it? Ah the sanctity of marriage.

And didn't Elton John play at his reception? That might make your head explode.

Everyone has a price apparently and Elton John's was $1,000,000. Odd you would expect that he doesn't need the money. Oh well, back catalogs aren't what they used to be.
