I don't know anyone in India but my heart goes out to all the people in that country. It must be a literal
nightmare. The reality is that dozens, if not hundreds of people will die because of this power outage.
I remember a power outage in New York City a few years back that ended up with about 90 deaths.
In India with 670 million people without power, I wouldn't attempt to guess the number.
We went 5 days without power in the last ice storm and it was brutal so I can only imagine what it would be like, your money is worthless in a power outage, with everything electronic now you cant do any transactions without electricity,no lights, heat, gas or food.
Hard to believe some find it funny but I bet they arent stocked up for one either.

If you dont have a generator your food in your freezer is ruined. This can happen anywhere and will with all the power hungry consumers around now.

I saw a video of some survivors of the Tsunami in Japan-they said the few days after the disaster they never ate so much luxury food-everyone's goodies were going off and it was time to chow down.

After 5 days you start to go into survival mode,I imagine within ten days there would be a bit of anarchy happening.
