Harper has changed his opinions, not a platform. Big difference.

Well that shows he is also a flip flop artist, doesn't it blue?

Canadians want a progressive not regressive government and thats why that bigot Harper will never get in.

Plus I hear the old BBQ circut aint going to well as he is still way down in the polls.

Since when does moderating a position constitute being a flip flop? Martin campaigns on one thing, then does something entirely opposite. His platform is a flip flop. And Harper is not a bigot, says Musicman.

Long live Blue

Did they not do that back in the early nineties which led to the Reform Party? The conservative party of Joe Clark was not conservative at all. In fact, some would even say they were further to the left of the current liberal party.

You catch the Alzheimer's, Blue? Clark wasn't PM in the nineties. Mulroney was for a couple of very bad years, but he was far to the right of Joe Clark.

Harper makes a comment back in the early 90's when he wasn't even in politics per se, and some make that out to be his position, no matter what he may say today.

He's always been in politics, Blue. Read his resume.

Why people continue to support a known and proven liar and a corrupt government when there is an option available says something about the integrity of some Canadian voters.

Harper is also a corrupt liar though, it's just he's also a bigot, a homophobe, a misogynist, and rumour has it that he likes to wear assless chaps at caucus meetings.

And i am guessing that you forget Harper was not an MP in Mulroneys government.

He was a backroom policy wonk in Mulroney's government though. After a while he quit and performed the same duties for Preston Manning. When he quit Manning's party, Preston called him a quitter.

With comments like that it is hard to take anything you say seriously.

I know perfectly well when Clark was the PM, and was simply referring to him being left of Martin. Of course Mulroney was right of Clark, everybody, including Broadbent was right of Clark!!

Hey, I said it was a rumour, Blue. Not only that, but I didn't even start this rumour, I actually heard it elsewhere. Besides, given some of the pictures of Harper on the BBQ trail, the rumour could very well be true. He seems to enjoy playing dress-up.

Guess you didn't see the picture of crowfooted Martin with the Sask Roughriders last week? Although, given how they play, I can see why they would welcom another loser into their group.

Funny thing about Harper and his Stampede get up. He has worn that for several years without comment. Only now does the media seem to think it is a big deal. But then, the media is far from unbiased, right?

Can you even find Saskatchewan on a map?

Why, do you need some help? Glad to. First you leave Manitoba and head west. If you get to the mountains, you have gone too far, so go back east. If you hit some really large bodies of water that are called the Great Lakes, you have gone too far again, so turn around and come west again. This time, stop in the middle of the flattest piece of land you can find (you know, the place you can see your dog running away from you for five days) and VIOLA! that is Saskatchewan. No people, they all left for Alberta, but lots of really flat land in the south and scrubby brush in the north. And some wannabe city in the south called Regina.

By that description you've shown that you don't know a fecking thing about Saskatchewan. If you've ever been in Saskatchewan at all, you must have had difficulty seeing, what with your head being jammed up your ass and all.

Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank"and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind.

Dennis: Oh King eh? Oh very nice...and how'd you get that...by expoiting the workers...by hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society...if there's ever going to be any change...

Woman: Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here!
[Noticing Arthur] Oh! How d'you do?

Arthur: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, King of the Britons. Whose castle is that?

Woman: King of the who?

Arthur: The Britons.

Woman: Who are the Britons?

Arthur: Well we all are... We are all Britons... And I am your king.

Woman: I didn't know we had a king... I thought we were an autonomous collective.

Dennis: You're foolin' yourself. We're livin' in a dictatorship! A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes...

Woman: (interrupting) Oh there you go, bringing class into it again...

Dennis: That's what it's all about! If only people would...

Arthur: Please, please, good people, I am in haste. Who lives in that castle?

Woman: No one lives there.

Arthur: Then who is your lord?

Woman: We don't have a lord.

Arthur: What?

Dennis: I told you. We're an anarcho-cynicalist commune. We take it in turns to sort of act as a sort of executive officer for the week.

Arthur: Yes.

Dennis: But all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting...

Arthur: Yes I see.

Dennis: ...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs...

Arthur: Be quiet!

Dennis: But by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major...

Arthur: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!

Woman: Order, eh? Who does he think he is?

Arthur: I am your king!

Woman: Well I didn't vote for you!

Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

[Angelic music plays...]

Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king!

Dennis: (interrupting) Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a
mandate from the masses, not from some farcicial aquatic ceremony!

Arthur: Be quiet!

Dennis: Oh but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Arthur: SHUT UP!

Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bink lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Arthur: SHUT UP! WILL YOU SHUT UP! [Grabs Dennis]

Dennis: Ah! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!

Arthur: SHUT UP!

Dennis: Oh, come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

Arthur: (muttering) Bloody peasant!

Dennis: Oh, what a giveaway! Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about! Did you see him repressin' me? You saw it, didn't you?

That's true, lena...at least in the rural areas. Those same areas are Conservative strongholds. The same holds true in Manitoba. Connection there? You bet.

Where abouts in Sask. are you from Lena?

Well, let's look at our options; ya got the widdle NDP. Good, but small. The Bloc, good..for those in QC.
And then you've got the conservatives...

 Aheh. Ahooh. Ahooo. Ow. My sides.

Yesiree. We are skewered. The ideal of this sixteen year old? Gilles Duceppe in Paul Martin's shoes. Paul Martin in Harper's shoes. Harper a member of the republican party, and perfecting his upwards georgie frown and smirk for CNN.

As for my immpression of the west; ignorance and unhappyness is all I ever hear about it here. Wasn't it the coldest place on earth at one point last winder? *shivers*. And then there's the slaughterhouseses. The goths. The racists and biggots. The stereotype I'm getting is of "the south".
