IF albertans want to be americans that badly.......why not move there en masse and leave the province where it belongs ......as part of Canada.
If the "west" is being treated shabbily by the Ottawa contingency........ why not scream louder. Not sure what Alberta has to complain about anyhow.

Alberta has nothing to scream about, Ocean. There are a small but vocal minority of them who refuse to understand democracy and think that they should be able to buy whatever kind of government they want. They are, thankfully, mistaken.

what is a tad scary is that they are more 'american' than Canadian in their thinking now. Amazing how they fail to recognize that it is just good fortune and geography that provided them with the rich resources they have. They did NOT EARN the oil.

Yeah. Try to convince the government that you are using a 1920's hand gun for target shooting. You can't even get the ammo to use it for recreational purposes. By proving that this ban is a sham is just proving my point that Martin's "ploy" is a shame to begin with.
No one mentioned anything about seizures but at the end of the day, gun collectors could have a criminal record if they refuse to turn over their guns. Government paying $350 million dollars for guns is a fantastic idea. They can add it to the cost of the gun registry. :roll:

Not really. You are ignoring the tougher sentencing laws and the extra border staff. I don't think he's doing enough, I'd be checking every car coming in from the US, but there's a lot more to his plan than you are admitting.
Even the part you are admitting will have some effect because there will be far less doubt that somebody with a gun is not allowed to have it and the number of guns will be reduced.
