Most likely the moon will be colonized, but not terraformed. The moon's gravity is too weak to hold on to an atmosphere. However the moon is mineral rich and it requires less energy to move material from the moon into an orbit around the earth or the sun, than it does to move material from the earth.

However the first mines will likely harvest resources from asteroid and comets, which require even less energy than than the moon.

If you are interested in knowing how Mars could be terraformed, I recommend this link:

Just to twist your sentence a bit...

I think that it would be cool to make inhabitable, moons, and planets, habitable.

So you want to turn them into what they already are? Ha.

If you mean uninhabitable moons habitable, Titan is probably your best bet. Though for all we know there is stuff living there or on Europa.

oops. I didn't catch my mistake. sorry for the confusion. that's what happens to me when I try to use big words. :(

Third rock from the Sun
We fully intend to cause harm to Mars' ecosystem. That's the whole point of all the probing and exploring. Terraforming will happen eventually. At least the attempt at it.

its already happening.... The microbes from earth that survive the journey, will continue to live on Mars... They will change, Mars will change......The eagle rises....

NOW lets talk about the rock in the photo? Is it a carbonate? or an old fossilized coral..... If life did evolve on earth, i will bet that it didnt evolve past stromatophorid's. mabye ediacarans (mabye)..... Thats assuming life didnt follow the archaea domain lineage ...

You guys also forget too, the largest impact site in the solar system is located on mars.... And mars hasnt had plate tectonics in a long long time.... If anything evolved on that planet, it didnt leave the waters....

The waters that would have been present back in the day....

Of course there is more out there and
wouldn't it be something if we find out we are the people from Mars?

Panspermia. It is an interesting theory. Itd be neat to find out if it was true. I doubt we'll know for sure one way or another in our lifetimes.
