They are going after Alberta farmers now as they are polluting the rivers with their run off, good to see!

Finally, peeps are figuring out that the farmers are the worst polluters of the environment, even more then the oilsands.

I'm sure Tonn will be by soon to explain it.
It was big news in Alberta the last few weeks for those in the industry so it may take a while to filter down to Ontario.

Are they pig farmers,if so then its like here, too much pig in one place, the waste collected in a huge reservoir, then idiotically,it ends being dumped in fields which when it rains,it flows right in the rivers.

Depends on the type of nitrogen. Anhydrous and urea based are the most common used, Anhydrous is injected in liquid form and urea based are precisely placed at time of seeding in prill form. There is no "overfertilizing", who the hell has money to throw aroound all willy nilly? That **** ain't cheap amigo. Crop productioon is very hi-tech these days. These days saying "strong like bull, smart like tractor' is a compliment.
