Looks like it's back to business as usual in Iraq for U.S. troops!

Don't bother, coalition forces and the Iraqi military both have blood on their hands when Bush invaded Iraq, and to think that all those photo's of dead children were coalition forces and not staged by the Iraq military to convince weak minds such of yourself that the bad guys are the invaders. please

Ahhhhh they are staged. Of course. Why didn't I think of that? Good thing there are no gun cameras to refute those staged events.

In Detail

The most intense period for civilian deaths was at the war’s very beginning, when more than 6,700 were killed in just 3 weeks of ‘Shock and Awe’ (from 20th March to the seizure of Baghdad on 9th April: a rate of 320 per day for 21 days).
The most violent month after the invasion was July 2006, with 3,266 violent deaths. The most sustained period for high-level violence was during the fourth and fifth years from March 2006 to March 2008, when ‘sectarian’ killings peaked and some 52,000 died.
Annual civilian deaths since 2003 (counting from 20 March–19 March each year):

  • 14,007 in year one
  • 12,001 in year two
  • 17,026 in year three
  • 31,418 in year four
  • 20,930 in year five
  • 7,829 in year six
  • 4,747 in year seven
  • 4,133 in year eight
  • 4,433 in year nine
  • ~4250 in year ten 1
The majority of civilian deaths during the first year (at least 55%) were directly caused by US/Coalition forces, who were reported as directly causing around 7% of all deaths in the subsequent period until their formal withdrawal on 31st December 2011.

'I'll see you guys in New York': Abu Bakr al Baghdad

Yes, he now has 400 million to plan and execute the next terror attack... but why New York City, personally I think Toronto and the CN Tower would be a better target..

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un should be able to sell him a nuke, and drop it somewhere in North America...

Yes,let's wait till they bring the fight to our shores..

Well, there is one year that may have surpassed Saddam's annual rampage over 30 years. If anyone doubts the extent of Saddam's cruelty they may want to check with the relatives of the Kurds he gassed.

The best of target is food. TV terrorists blow thing up that don't really effect everyone as a whole. Burning crops and killing livestock is by far the easiest and deadliest terrorism attacks. Why do you think the US has UG99 bombs?

Strange bedfellows: Iran, US to cooperate against Sunni jihadists in Iraq?

So does that mean that Obama will leave Syria alone to since Syria supports Iran and Iran supports Syria, after all the people of Syria have made their choice with 84% of the people supporting Assad and a very high voter turnout..??

Saudi Arabia might not like to see America and Iran getting into bed with each other.

so are you saying the invasion was justified and that these deaths were worth it?

where are the parades and the thank yous then?

where's the gratitude for the rescue

or are all of these deaths in vain because the people are worse off than they were when we went in?

can you show me how these people are better off now than they were, because that's what you are saying correct?
we rescued them from Saddam so thus things are much better
if you can show me how much good we have done instead of merely saying how bad it was, I am more than open to a possible change of mind

nah I would take out the power sources...no food as it would spoil, no lights, no way to cook, or cool/warm the house

Israel supports Assad so why not their DC puppets?

Oh well you're not going to change my mind, and I'm not going to change yours... however, sometimes a less invasive change of government is better... a Carlos Ilich Ramirez Sanchez...
