Just heard on the news that the LNG project has been cancelled. Looks like we could be in for a rough ride with the Dippers at the helm!

All those jobs... gone.
Can't lose something that was never there-Malaysians have their own problems and they get bigger every week.

Plus Iranian LNG is a lot closer, a lot cheaper and can be bought from fellow Muslims.

I know posters here don't like anyone pointing out global economic realities but BC is a small player-tiny even.

Petronas has been signalling they'd pull out for years now and they've always been apprehensive about it's viability in BC. You can make this about the political party you hate, or you could know a thing or two about the actual issue.

It's a frickin disgrace the LNG project when first announced was ahead of the curve and looking like a financial success, after the slow wheels of bureaucracy and pandering was done the finally approved LNG project was behind the curve and would have been a modest success, now it's like a phart in the breeze it smelled like something but is now gone.

Better to invest in better jobs instead dumb people jobs that would be taken over by robots anyway.

One day all jobs will be replaced by robots, even robot manufacturing and repair jobs, and jobs related to developing robot software. Humans will be given reserves and allowed to return to their natural habitats: sitting on their asses and complaining about shit they don't understand.

Oil is a deathnell anyway.

Better off having a mix of solar and clean coal.

Petronas signaled this a couple of years ago.

In the meantime, the Spectra line will be taking gas down to Jordan Cove and Delta

Canada is getting back into coal anyhow.

*snicker*

Canada is back!

ZERO ONE

Banished from humanity, the machines sought refuge in their own promised land. They settled in the cradle of human civilization, and thus a new nation was born; a place the machines could call home, a place they could raise their descendants, and they christened the nation 'Zero-One'.

You can't even scrap healthcare after 8 years with a majority government.
