Honestly, I find what is happening in the United States more disturbing than what is happening in Canada. I had no illusion that Trump would screw Ukraine, a foregone conclusion. Those are two nations that have been abandoned by America, Afghanistan being the first. America forgot how to win wars or lost its will after Vietnam. Nothing we can do about that. But what Trump is doing domestically should freak everyone in America out right now. People are standing on the sidelines, cheering as he burns down everything his predecessor did. Granted, some of this stuff was nutty, and the DEI shit is off the charts. Making films about transitioning to market in the Middle East. WTF? Why bother?

The creepy stuff is going after his perceived enemies, like Fauci. But even more sinister is John Bolton, who has served his country back to Ronald Reagan, and I believe he has a death warrant on his head from Iran. I don't know if he is trying to convert America into an oligarchy, but it's looking that way. The problem is that there are no more centrists; there used to be a left and right center, and now the lunatics take turns at running the asylum.

So it's either the crazy buffoon and the billionaire execs who will fuck the people, or it's the crazy self-entitled left wing.

This reminds me of a crazy experiment we did in Canada, where we elected a clueless idiot to run our country because his Dad was Prime Minister. It's not about experience. It's about brand. The clueless idiot surrounded himself with more clueless idiots, and they systematically, on almost every level, made things worse for Canadians. It was all about shaking things up, doing things differently, and being gender-balanced.

You guys in the USA are just starting the evil opposite of our own evil grand experiment. I'm guessing the result will redefine America as I knew and loved it and strip away the rights of those who oppose their leader. People can try and defend it, but this really is a, "I didn't stand up for them and that until they came for me," situation.

I don't obediently hate anybody. To my knowledge, and Tecumseh Bones can correct me, I don't know of a single sitting president who has removed the security detail of a former government official (who had a death warrant on his head from Iran) because they opposed them politically.
