When a liberal bitches about Harper what does he say? OOh he's gonna mess up our healthcare. Why? Harper has never attempted to do that, but the Liberals told you he would. When a liberal bitches about Harper they call him a sellout to the Americans, or an American wannabe. Why? Because the Liberals told you to. Even though the Liberals signed Kyoto and did nothing to implement it, once Harper becomes leader all of a sudden he's the anti-christ because he doesn't believe in Kyoto and isn't doing anything to implement it. Why? Becasue the Liberals told you that's the way it is. The Liberals told you he would have guns in our streets, meanwhile their gun registry has done nothing to fix the problem. Wake up sheeple. Harper is a damn good leader and Dion is a waste of skin.

Congratulations, that is probably one of the most stupid posts I have ever read. Your broad characterizations, stereotyping and empty assumptions are immature and unwelcome.

I'm a Liberal, and I bitch about Harper; however, I gave you reasons and reasoning why I felt that way. No one told me to; stop acting like you're above other posters and other people - it's very indicative of your maturity levels. Your valid points about Liberal shortcomings are overshadowed by your condescention.

And most of us voters thought Harper was the anti-christ long before he was elected :read2:.

Besides, they didn't pick Ignatieff, who would have been a threat... they got Dion.. noone in their right mind sees this rat (he looks like one) as the Prime Minister, and actually representing us on the world stage (I shudder the thought of Dion representing Canada... I would cry).

I betcha he'd have a spiffy new knapsack though!

My characterizations are a direct response to the BS I see coming from the liberal crowd every day. Their government under Chretien literaly stole billions of taxpayers dollars, forced a wasteful and useless gun registry onto us and nearly decimated our military. They were scandal ridden and yet they have the nerve to suggest Harper is a terrible leader. The only thing they did right was rid us of the defecit. For that we are supposed to be forever greatfull? Sure Harper isn't perfect but he's a breath of fresh air that this country has needed for some time. If you think that is the stupidest post you have ever read than just wait I'm only warming up.:) If you don't like it and think it's unwelcome than don't read it. Simple as that.

In order to drop the GST a measly percent, or one penny on the dollar, not only did inflation rectify it in wholesale prices, but income taxes were rolled back up a percent. In the grand scheme, it makes a lot more difference to your pocketbook once you pay taxes.

Here's the difference: the Liberals promised to scrap it altogether, and didn't. At least Harper KEPT his promise.

Those who are proud of Harper, why? Despite the claims, he really hasn't gotten anything done.

It is not easy getting things done in a minority gov't, you know, with the Liberal Senate screwing the Accountability Act (God forbid the pig trough be harder to get at for the Natural Governing Party), etc.

Yet Harper has put the SSM debate to rest, lowered wasteful spending, taken us to where we should be in the ME (supporting Israel), settled the Arar affair, etc.

He's ordered a few war machines that we'll likely never see,

You mean he has started to rebuild our once-proud military, you know, the one the Liberals gutted..........and the only way that task will NOT come to pass is if we re-elect Liberal Party of Canada, God Help Us!

and extended a mission in a country that most people want our involvement in ended.

Really? I thought the Liberals put us there, and supported our presence there, and the people of Canada support the mission by a narrow margin.

and he's flipflopped on the environment by rehashing old Liberal programs that he not long ago renounced.

True, but that seems to be what the people want.....! ????

He's strained relationships both nationally between the feds and the provinces, and set us back years in international relationships.

Excuse me? I thought it was the Liberals that almost lost Quebec, first in a referendum and then through exttensive corruption......and, BTW Harper is rebuilding a relationship of mutual respect with our ally to the south, and recreating some respect for Canada internationally. The Liberals destroyed that with our military.

Dion will NEVER be Prime Minister. He is busily showing he is too far to the left of the mass of Canadians outside of Quebec, and his sheen as the all-round good boy is rapidly wearing off with the nasty tactics he is using in the House. Add to this the facts that he was a cabinet minister in the most corrupt gov't in Canadian history, that his proficientcy in English seems to be declining, and that he simply is not good "on his feet", and Dion will soon be a footnote in Canadian history. Next election, Harper wins with an increased minority or a slim majority, and Ignatief's boys get out the knives......Dion is dinner.

I love RUEZ and L Gilbert.

I detest the Liberals, D-E-T-E-S-T. The Chretien blood is STILL :'( in there!

And Dion is the biggest waste of time since Kim Campbell... the Canadian people aren't that stupid to give him power (or are they?)

Biggest thing for me and why I have the Harper-feever, is he is accountable, keeps his promises, and GETS THINGS DONE! This should be the norm. and sice is isn't with the Libs. it is so refreshing you can't imagine...

I thought the Province of BC was Liberal/NDP.

I know the Lower Mainland is.. I love B.C. though, the Lower Mainland, The Island, the Sunshine Coast, The Interior, the North... its such a beautiful province.

Now I don't get these people voting for Harper being the WORST PM.

Do people actually thing Harper is WORSE then Mulroney or Campbell? Seriously?

How can any PM be as bad as those 2.

Campbell? She wasn't in long enough to do much harm. Chretien and Martin were vastly worse than her.
I agree, I think people only dislike her because she took over from Mulroney. There was no saving anything that party had. I had high hopes for Chretien, but he systematically destroyed any faith I had for the Liberal party in quick order.

Yeah.. I guess its not fair to dislike Campbell.. b/c she had to pick up the mess from Mulroney.

Yeah then my #1 worst is Mulroney
#2 is Chretien
#3 is Trudeau
#4 is Campbell & Joe Clark

People are just voting Harper as the worst, because he is our current PM.

If we were looking back at him historically, like we do with the others, people wouldn't be calling him the worst.. far from it..

Is Harper A Conservative? Yes...I'd vote him worst. Now, twenty years from now, a hundred years from now.

So basically you hate the Conservative party and conservative ideals?

Well I am your opposite, nice to meet you.

I hate the Liberal party and liberal ideals.

So basically you're saying it doesn't matter how good he is or what good he's done you hate him because he's Conservative? Pretty much sums up a lot of the left.

^^ Yep, my thoughts exactly... I like Ignatieff and Gerrard Kennedy.

But Dion, Martin, Chretien I don't like.

You just seem as worst b/c he is conservative, and for nothing else.
