I believe the article said he had either 14 or 18 years of service.

Yeah, I was a little remiss there, I was just counting the four years as chief. But having said that, I served for 35 years and got zero severence. My point being severence is bullsh*t.

If there is going to be severence it should be for every position from the floor sweeper to the C.E.O. as a percentage of their salary. That would still be wrong but at least it would be fair. It's time to put an end to the "fat cats"..........:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Take a look at the government website and it tells you the pay of all the top civil serpents. Nanaimo for instance has six fire dept. officers that make over 100G a year. What politicians bilk us for is a mere pittance compared to the amount the legions of senior civil servants at all levels of government rip us for.

Yep, and administrators are among the worst. Out of fairness $100 grand isn't unheard of any more. When my son was contracting in the patch he could make up to $16 grand a month. (Must be more to it than money as he's working there for wages now)

hmmmmm..... so I guess the 3 months severance after 1 years employment I got from AT&T should have been turned down?
