The reason I asked is because about 25 years ago I listened to a radio station in Vancouver where the D.J. would place prank call to person drawn at random every morning............it was hilarious and since it was a daily occurence at the same time every morning it was no doubt station policy.

I think every radio station has done that at some point. As far as pranks go, this one was not mean in and of itself, it just worked. Which I'm sure was not what they were expecting.

Whether they or the station had any reasonable way of predicting such a tragic outcome from it or even if the station was behind the "prank call" gimmick of the show is really a moot point when it comes to their being fired. The publicity from it is not good, so the station cancelled the show. Cancelling the show effectively fires them.

but their intent was malicious. .
I really doubt that. It's meant to be a prank. Sometimes pranks go sideways.

Nope, under logical scrutiny, the facts are what they are.

The 3rd comes before the 4th. The DJ's never possessed any confidential files. They were never told anything that wasn't already public knowledge. .
Yep. It was public knowledge that she had hyperemesis gravidarum. How she was doing as far as recovery is what wasn't known and the DJs defrauded to gain that info.
The way most people seem to have read it is that they phoned to get an update on her condition. You can't gain updated info the day before you phone.
I merely addressed you poor analogy.
Attacking examples, analogies, etc. instead of discussing the topic is strawman.
And there were no ad hominems ..... in my posts.
You're right, it isn't.
lol If you say so

Hey LG... isn't CB nasty and annoying.

You proved your points two pages ago. Now CB is just baiting you and trying to bury your arguments under pages of flames.

So how do you make this a better forum CB? What exactly do you add?.
lol Nah. I like the dude. Anyone who takes our little game seriously should grab a sense of humor.

I'm not the one who derailed a sensible discussion. That happened around here:

Sounds condescending and pointless..

Hopefully more people will give you a thumbs down for troll like behavior
At's the way to stick to the topic.

Tired and dehydrated. Two symptoms of HG.

Not if you think your analogy applies.

I don't. It's just the way

You'll have to excuse EAO, he's just a spammer and a troll.

The London nurse who committed suicide after a prank call from two Australian radio DJs had reportedly been prescribed anti-depressants after two alleged suicide attempts.

Radio hoax nurse 'tried to commit suicide before'

That cannot be a surprise to anyone. Despite how embarrassing and humiliating it must have felt to be "taken" by a prank, I don't think an otherwise healthy individual would have taken their life after it. There had to be other factors.

If true, it honestly doesn't surprise me at all. To me it never did add up that she did this over a prank call. Prank calls aren't not something you kill yourself over no matter what the prank is.
