I'm not really a "Take a chance" kinda guy.

Especially with a personal and family history such as Jr's.

When taking into consideration who his Father was and what HE did for this country, that's a big plus in my eyes for Justin. If he's half the man Pierre was, he'll do a hell of a job. Then again, unlike you, I liked P.E.T.

You and I view PET's legacy differently.

And despite that, I still think you're awesome.

Well, GreenFish66, if Jr does become the leader, and the Harper government implodes like the Gordon Campbell government, then the NDP will take over.

Now that is a depressing thought.
Have to neg rep a few lefties now just to feel better after that.

You must have done a lot of bad drugs in your misspent youth.

I never thought I'd find myself saying this but so far Young Trudeau is sounding good. Just heard his first sensible speech on the news............."It doesn't matter whether solutions come from the left or the right as long as they work".............He's already spoken more sense than his old man did in 16 years..................oops almost forgot "Fuddle Duddle"...............sorry Pierre!

They've been saying Jr is an intellectual lightweight, at least compared to dad. Well, dad the philosopher king was also responsible for Western alienation, and, during WWII, he scooted around in a bike wearing a nazi symbol, even as Canada was fighting the Nazis. So I'm not so convinced intellectuals would make good politicians.

If Jr can bring about a coalition and not alienate people west of Ontario, he would have done something daddy genius could never do.

Being leader of the party is irrelevant. It is being capable of being PM, at least in the eyes of the electorate that counts. A spoilt rich kid from Quebec just isn't going to cut it in the west.

Spoilt???????? I'm not so sure! Rich, probably, but fairly necessary to eventually become head honcho!
