Actually, I think I read somewhere in something Looky posted that everyone is a sinner. The thing is that if you believe in the myth, you'll be ok sinner or not. If you don't believe in the myth, you're toast.
It is self evident for someone who thinks the only good people are Christians.
I can't speak for "Cristians", as I am not familiar with that particular faith group. Nor can I confirm or deny what you "just love". However, I do have an undergraduate Theological Studies degree, as well as a Psychology degree, combined with 6 years of seminary education.I assume this would allow me to formulate even a tiny theological opinion.![]()

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but valid? That is sometimes debatable. And you know, some things do not rely on "opinions'. that is in and of itself one of the errors of secular humanist theologies which suggests that everything is in some sort of a grey area. A dangerous concept, in my opinion. (See I just had an opinion!)I have no doubt that you are well versed and studied but that doesn't mean others don't have a right to a valid opinion as well .
You sir, have just been removed from my good graces! I have just now spit out a mouthful of coffee all about myself as I read your words!!!I was right. I am writing over your head. Sorry. I will eschew big words and complicated sentences from now on.
Sigh.

“it is better understood to state we are born with that mark upon us, which will enable us to either walk in the light of Christ or to dismiss that Light and walk in sin.”Nonsense, no one has stated that, with the exception of yourself. It is self evident for someone who thinks the only good people are Christians.

I’m sorry, I interpreted this as there was only the choice of walking in the light of Christ or to dismiss the light of Christ and walk in sin. I would of thought someone who is as critical of other peoples writings as Pangloss would have been more clear. Maybe you should have taken an elective in logic. Doesn't the bible say something like those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. If it doesn't say that it says at least do not be judged unless ye be judged yourself.
You views of on which opinions are valid and which aren't is just another opinion. Some of your opinions are right some are wrong and yes some things are grey. As they say, the more you learn the more you realize how much their is you don't know. At least that is how it is suppose to work.Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but valid? There are some things, regardless of your opinion or mine, that just "are".

Christ, God if you prefer, is the essence of all goodness, whether you accept that concept or not. If leading a good life, one given to acts of charity and selfless devotion to others, it is through the grace of God that we are allowed that humble pleasure.

Man, you gotta stop! This is too funny and I'm not getting any work done.

You know very well that is not what I was suggesting. Stop seeking to appear clever, it does not suit you.So then if I am good, I am following the path of Christ and I don't need to believe in him or go to church?

The rapture???? Wrong room, bub, this is the one with the statutes of Mary in it, Pentecostals are down the other hallOkay, so if I'm good and I don't go to church I'm not evil, just damned? That really says about an all loving god. I've heard some other options before though. One is you get into heaven but you just get into a lower part of the kingdom. The other is so you go to hell but it is not forever. Your soul gets deleted at rapture. I'm interested to here your thoughts of why an all loving god would create people he new were going to burn in hell. It sounds kind of sadistic to me.
