MP Christine Moore faced military harassment first hand

She's a victim! She was just acting out in a way she'd been socially conditioned to, she didn't know it was wrong.

Christine Moore said that even when officers want to act on some guys who are “trouble,” they often get shut down and blocked by their superiors.

“Because of the attitude in general, they just act when it’s something really, really horrible and all the other stuff just pass like (it’s) nothing,” Moore said in an interview Thursday.

“This is the problem, they just act if it’s something really horrible and obvious. But all the little things, all the little jokes . . . all the little stuff, they never act on it.”

She sounds pretty sensitive to any kind of harassment...when someone else other than her is the harasser. I wonder if she'll be as quick to condemn her own actions as she is to condemn everyone else?

The report uncovered a saying among some military members — that women join the Canadian Forces to “find a man, to leave a man, or to become a man.”

I wonder which category she falls into??

The presumption of innocence must be married to the belief in the victim, otherwise there is a prejudice occurring

Depends. If we're talking the criminal standard, then the onus is on the accuser or a prosecutor to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. If we're talking civil standard, then it's just balance of probabilities.

Then there's the political standard: whatever decision wins the most votes, and that usually means to eject any toxic candidate facing any allegation. This applies to all parties of course. I'm not necessarily blaming them, it's understandable, and political parties are free to have their own membership rules on the matter. I'm just saying that's how it is.

She better not, pete considering she's the one who started the ball rolling against Eric Weir.

Even the veteran sounds like he was willing to forgive her up until he spoke out against her. He acknowledges that though the relationship was coercive, he still consented. His speaking out seems motivated more by his anger at the hypocrisy he perceived of her pointing fingers at another after he'd forgiven her similar behaviour, especially when she was pointing fingers at alleged abuses not even directed against her.

Men can't have emotion? Having regrets and feelings of being used is unique to women?

When did I ever say the opposite? I'm well aware that women can be just as coercive as men.

I'm just saying that it appears that he was prepared to forgive or at least not speak out against her until she started to act hypocritically.
