You sound genuinely surprised.

By the way, you should never vote a guy in on one condition. I want him to legalize pot too, but I didn't vote for him via his party, because he is wholly unqualified for the position. We have handed over the Country's credit card to a teenager.

"As a non-Canadian, can I ask if there are any here who also had their vote stolen by Trudeau’s lie?"

Not I! It was obvious to me that anyone making that many promises was either stupid or lying. It was also obvious that Trudeau is a spoiled rich brat with no real job experience and no talent other than posing for the camera.
I loathe the man and everything he stands for; an ideological 'aristocrat' who looks down on the masses as inferior beings.
I would rather go with the devil I know.
No regrets here for not voting for him. It is now obvious that the promises were empty, made without any real idea of how they could be implemented. So far Trudeau has done nothing except smile for the camera. No decisions on issues of import,
no firm plan to present, just more empty promises of 'what we are looking at......', 'we are consulting with.....', 'we will soon be......', 'we want to make sure we get it right........'.
I hope he's learning that there's more to running a country than smiling for the camera and looking pretty.

I give him more for potential than you do, but it is too early to see if the boy can become a man.

I think his father was a man. My wife knew him and her judgement I trust.

But you know that the Canadian public is used to and likes our own small dose of corruption. We are in 9th place I hear out of 320 or so.

It saddens me that you post such rubbish. Do you actually have any idea how long it takes to withdraw from a foreign agreement? You just can't post a note of Facebook.

Oh I know that it takes time for the lawyers to get it all down but with the examples already showing the way, the ways and means could be put together in a weekend.

Look at how fast government moved when they stabbed Levesque in the back.

If Canada can move that fast to do a dirty deal, it can certainly move that fast to save a lot of Canadian lives.

Longterm habitual use of marijuana causes depression, paranoia, neurosis, isolation, obsessive compulsive disorders, lethargy and social withdrawal.. ultimately leading to psychosis.

Double blind studies continue to show its active agent, THC, is medically useless as a remedy for pain or other therapeutic purposes. Smoking marijuana is likely in every way as injurious to your health as tobacco. It's smoke contains at least 60 other ingredients which have never be subjected to scientific study.

Only an empty headed little twit like Trudeau would make this a central issue in his platform. He never saw a New Age cause that he wouldn't latch on to, absent any responsible circumspection of its merits and consequences.

Just what Canada needs a nation of zombies to run its ever diminishing industrial machinery. Much better to have a growing disenfranchised populace drugged to a stupor rather than protesting in the streets.

You're absolutely right! Anyone who has worked in rehabilitation facilities knows this. I would add that it also speeds up the physical aging process.
Those who enjoy smoking it are welcome to do so. They think it is harmless and will never be convinced that it isn't. Once the harm is done they won't know much of anything.

I take it you missed all of the benefits of change that other countries and U.SD. states are enjoying including less addiction.

It saddens me to chastise a boy leader.

Canada’s new leader must be stupid if he cannot dither out how to do what other countries have done in legalizing Cannabis.

I had my vote stolen by that stupid boy and do not really see myself as a Canadian any more.

That said, I can forgo showing the respect that is his due.

I voted for Trudeau for one reason alone and the prick lied to me.

Trudeau must think me stupid for believing him, and since reciprocity is fair play, I return that insult with one of my own, with an example of Trudeau’s stupidity.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-legalizing-pot-global-treaties-1.3390745

You can tell who is leading in a moral way by how they are dealing with the cannabis issue.

The real Trudeau would say that we were wrong to sign those treaties as written, and now formally withdraw from such treaties, as they do not allow Canada to do the right thing, and legalize cannabis.

I hope Trudeau is not as stupid in other areas as he is with Cannabis.

If so, Canada will become the laughing stock of the world.

As a non-Canadian, can I ask if there are any here who also had their vote stolen by Trudeau’s lie?

That is a rather poor example. The constitutional accord was not a foreign treaty. And if you remember correctly it took months to hammer out that agreement and draw up the Canada Act.

JT seems like a good man, but leader material, not even a little bit. Many many voted for him solely based on his promise to legalize weed. Your right, hiding behind some treaty BS is simply lame. I believe that there are a lot more opposition than the Lib's ever imagined.

Tribal would indicate that we take an interest in the community as a whole. In our society most everyone is doing their own thing. Like screwing each other over for the almighty dollar. When we say we want justice, equality and prosperity for everyone,,,we're just blowing smoke up the community azz. Talk is cheap and don't mean a fukkin thing.

The point being our Government approves through legal means the sale and use of alcohol and a list of untested dangerous pharmasueticals both of which dwarf any negative repercussions felt by the nation with respect to cannabis use. The government likes tax revenue eventually when the stoners have infiltrated government at the ministerial level you people who preach abstenance will be obliged by law to consume cannabis to treat the brain condition hypocrisy, or you will be barred from voting and operating a motor vehicle.

It is a good example.

It took one night to decide what to do dirt and can take the same amount of time to do good.

The intelligentsia have always been on the left of this issue and here is hopping that they are the majority.

I think JT can do it but was bought off by either the black marketers he complained about of the alcohol or tobacco lobby.

I have done my bit to try to outlaw the various head and face wear that Muslim women in Canada are basically forced to wear by their husbands or fathers.

That policy belongs with Islam's child bride policy.

In the garbage.

Islam is the vilest and most immoral religion in Canada and I would outlaw it if I could.

Islam and it's twin, Christianity are both immoral creeds that we should all reject.

This is an exceedingly unimportant piece of legislation. We and the rest of the world have far more important things to deal with than to make it easy to buy dope. Our entire resource sector is under seige and thousands could end up losing their homes and savings. Easy, legal dope is just another bread-and-circuses distraction from the requirements of the real, grown-up world.

That is where you are wrong. It is important. Unfortunately trudOwe never really thinks anything through before posing for a camera. Not only are there important medical reasons for legalizing cannabis but also legal. Right now millions of tax dollars are being squandered making criminals out of both sick people and those that choose not to partake of government approved and taxed alcohol and tobacco.

It is about as important as tobacco and alcohol. And, about as dumb.

I do not care that it might be legal in the future, but don't expect me to lift a finger to make it happen.

With all due respect I think young Justin has bigger "fish to fry" than legalizing pot. Make it so the ones who need it medicinally can get it without a hassle. Get the troops doing what they are trained and paid to do.................knocking off the enemy. Let working people paying for their own child care, with the exception of working single parents at minimum wage...................they deserve a "hand up". Be satisfied with the help we've already provided other countries and refugees and look after Attawapiskat and Le Loche. Get some infrastructure happening. Check back with me in a month and I'll have some more chores figured out! :) :)
