So would "thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbours"That would be concerning other people's lives rather than their own.

P.S. Well, maybe Trudeau. But he was so bloody immoral that it does not matter.
Some of the couldn't-get-laid-with drugs-and-a-mattress set really don't like unattached playboys ;-)Out of curiousity, can you cite any examples of how Trudeau was immoral?
Ignorant as : God exist ?
Because in my book, the answer is no.
Sorry if I am not in the good forum for this thread, I thought it could fit.
I wouldn't call belief in God ignorant as there is no knowledge one is capable of obtaining that would disprove the existence of God. And of course, ignorance on matters trivial to the running of a state shouldn't disqualify one from participating in politics.
I think that will be the calmest answer to that question you'll get. You just insulted theists in your OP and the theists on this forum are the biggest cry babies I've ever seen of any forum. Their persecution complexes are tingling right now.
Yes I like to flame them a lil like this.
I am not agree, should not do politics.
I am going to have sooooooo much fu cking fun.

Therefore, the Universe is what people call god. There is only God. Nothing else exists.
I think if the challenge was set in an appropriate venue, the issue of trolling, wouldn't raise it's ugly head.It is true that I have never seen more cowardice from theists in debating religion as I have on this forum. Most posters will just whine that big bad atheists are so mean for challenging their opinions, whereas any other topic is perfectly acceptable to be challenged.
Somebody dialed 811?My comment was not meant to cause people to post inflammatory reactions (trolling) but to head off the incoming waaambulance.

I fully appreciate your desire to challenge thoughts, opinions, beliefs.
But in every thread with a religious slant?
I'm not exactly what could be remotely classified as a sensitive laddy, but even I can understand how some of our Christian members could become a little irate or frustrated with it. Couldn't you?
A sore spot is sensitive, when repeatedly aggravated.I haven't posted in every thread with a religious slant, but there are some topics I like discussing and will frequently post in threads about those topics. Religion is one of them. Unfortunately, on this forum, as I said, the religious are unwilling to discuss their beliefs. Which is fine as is, but they also like to let everyone know they don't want to talk about it and complain that atheists are big meanies. Seems to me that they want to feel hard done by and declare their imagined persecution every chance they get.
It is because I can empathize with a few of the Christians here, who have actually been the subject of sustained attacks, oft personalized, for no other purpose, than trolling. My intent, was to appeal to your better judgment. As I believe you have no intent in being cruel, though your commentary may be taken as such. I'll concede to an error in my judgment there, I can understand how you may be, being lumped in with a group, unfairly, and I may have rushed to that judgment, my apologies.Look at your reaction to my comment. In the past, I've criticized posters for their intellectual dishonesty and lack of integrity. I've criticized people for just being assholes on the internet, for having imaginary enemies and have characterized posts as impotent rage. My post in this thread is hardly different from any of that and yet you still managed to create a personality profile of me as a person that wouldn't make such comments. And when I make a similar kind of comment, this time on the intellectual cowardice I've observed from most theists on this forum, you suddenly think I have a double standard. Normally I wouldn't say such things you believe, and so you ask what is it about religion that caused me to say it.
Seeing as I actually like your style, I'd actually enjoy a conversation on Native spirituality, with you. I humbly ask, just not in the present thread. The answer is nothing, because there are some forums I wouldn't make that comment on. It is only here that I've noticed so many theists run away from debate and wallow in their persecution. Every other forum I've ever been to, theists have been willing to discuss their positions and not complain about the big bad atheist. And I've had excellent conversations on the subject, most of them calm and rational. On many occasions I have read brilliant and challenging arguments in favour of one religious belief or another.
I won't argue that.I made my comment because the OP was an invitation for a theist whine party and thought by calling it I could be prevent it. I think it worked reasonably well![]()
I actually prefer, Asshole, capitalized, because I hold a Doctorate in the field of Assholology...Sure, but I'd blame the forum more than the nature of the debate. Let's be serious, most people here are giant douchebags. And if you're not a douchebag, chances are you're a bat**** Jew hater. Not everyone of course![]()

Here again why would someone be called ignorant for having a belief in something?
There are many believers in God be it Christians, Muslims, Jews and others and I
think people are entitled to their beliefs. As for being in Politics, it has no bearing on
whether someone is a believer or not, it comes down to can they do the job they are
applying for by running for parliament? I don't condemn people for believing, I have
some difficulty with some folks who recite scripture and claim they know the whole
meaning of it and their vision is right and everyone else is wrong.
There is a difference between faith and proof. Some believe on faith alone and face
it proof is scarce so faith makes up a great deal of the agenda.
Anyone is entitled to believe in their religion and if you are a citizen of Canada you
should have a right to vote and run for office.
Seems pretty fu cking obvious that you're the ignorant one. Half your sentences don't make any sense whatsoever. Maybe try going back to school, I'd recommend starting back in kindergarten. Come back when you can finally put together a properly formulated sentence.
Comeback when you can finally accept that it isn't your responsibility or authority to determine when or where others can communicate without proof reading their posts.
As I remember it, the debate was about God even existing, your Godess of indifference seemed to be ruling all nests. The Bible has a variety of stories and events that would make for discussion, doesn't your method take the 'halt right there' approach?the religious are unwilling to discuss their beliefs.
I can say or post what ever the fu ck I want. Just ask JLM and corduroy. Anything I want, in any fu cking thread.
