Gee man.. you know me to well, Saint Lawrence College business school and it was the Navy.
BTW, now the FMCSA’s Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations as of Feb/2022 is sorta treating Truck Driver Licenses like a Piot License.. managed federally and some sorta Trade School for specific knowledge courses before you can go get a CDL.

First thing for Canadian drivers must be able to read signs in English.
Is that why airline pilots become airline pilots? In case you didn't know, a college education is not required to be an airline pilot in the US.
Don't know about nowadays, but traditionally the main source for the U.S. is military pilots.
Not nowadays and hasn't been for a while. Not that there still aren't former USAF pilots flying commercially but they aren't even close to being the main source anymore.
Been a minute since I checked it out. Our forces are less than half of what they were back in the day.
