USA taxpayers are forced to pay taxes to what purports to be a religious state. According to the Constitution, there must be absolutely no establishment of religion by the govenrment. Therefore such aid is unconstitutional.

Damn I hate lecturing Americans about their own constitution, and it seems to be necessary so often..

In NO PLACE does the Constitution of the United States ban religion, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion...."is the only law restricting the state in its relationship to any religious group. Any moron with middle school history should know that the England the Americans just fought their way free of had an official state religion, headed by the monarch, which received much land, cash, and consideration from the state. The Constitution ONLY bans the establishment of a state religion in the USA.....THAT'S IT!

Nothing else is relevant.

5 REASONS to Stop US Military Aid to Israel

1 Israel Is Illegally Occupying Palestine
Under UN Resolution 242, Israel is required by international law to withdraw from all the territories occupied in 1967, including East Jerusalem. The United Nation's General Assembly has repeatedly condemned Israel's occupation of the territories as illegal (see UN resolutions 338, 1397, and 1402, among others). Israel's continued occupation of Palestine, sanctioned and maintained by the US, is one of the most serious obstructions to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
"You must end the illegal occupation."

Kofi Annan, addressing Israel in a meeting of the UN Security Council, March 12, 2002

2 Israel Systematically Violates the Human Rights of Palestinians in the Occupied Territories
Each day, Israeli security forces in the West Bank and Gaza violate articles of the 4th Geneva Convention on Human Rights, an agreement that governs wartime rules of engagement and to which Israel is a signatory. Palestinian homes and agriculture fields are routinely demolished to make way for illegal Israeli settlements. Israeli soldiers regularly arrest and detain--often for years-- Palestinians without due process. According to Amnesty International, members of the Israeli security forces regularly use torture and prolonged incommunicado detention against Palestinians.

Zoofer & Colpy :) Right on target, lads. I never knew there were so many anti-Semites on this board.

So if I believe as Mel Gibson does that Israel is responsible for mst wars, then I am anti-semetic??? If someone says that Italians eat alot of pizza are they anti-Italian. When stating facts there is no such thingt as being anti-semetic. Bill O'reilly wanst to boycott France - isn't that anti-France. No one gives a damn about that comment. Besides go on any right wing message board in the States (ie, Ann Coulter, Ted Nugent etc.) They want to kill ALL muslims, women, children the whole lot of them. So if I say that Israel (as a militarized nationalistic government) is SCUM -- go ahead and call me anti-semetic, and fook yourselves while you're at it.

Israel is SCUM.

Just a reminder that there are no personal attacks on this forum.

OK?

Being clueless is an observation. Based on what you said, you are indeed clueless.

242 doesn't even mention palestinians, just refugees. Israel has returned most of that

land...remember Sinai? Of course Gaza more recently.

338 calls for cessation of military activity...well Hamas; Fatah; Islamic Jihad; Hizbollah...we're waiting.

1397 Israel has complied with this resolution, the Palestians have not: Demands immediate cessation of all acts of violence, including all acts of terror, provocation, incitement and destruction;

Same goes for 1402.

Why must only Israel comply with the resolutions? It's a two-sided coin.

I posted that article on U.S. aid to Israel because I thought it was related to the topic at hand. Thank goodness we can't force one another to adopt our opinions and views, and we are all free to have our own.

The rockets didn't start flying until the IDF invaded Lebanon.

This invasion was planned over a year ago, the IDF just waited for an excuse: http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/07/21/MIDEAST.TMP

Yea the wording was watered down by US demands to state "refugees" instead of the Palestinians.
Sinai? You think that desert is worth anything to anyone? No.
Gaza? Where 9000 settlers owned 90% of the water: "We have green grasses and the Pals get 2 hours of water a week." The Israeli's simply gave up on supporting the Zionist dream there, protecting those 9000 thieves (sorry for the harsh language, just calling it like it is) was draining the Israeli treasury, and that is the reason they withdrew.

Giving up lands? Yea riiiiiight:

There is nothing left for the Pals to have any sort of decent State. Ofcourse that is just what the Likudniks want:

Likud Party Platform 2002

The Palestinians
Declaration of a State
A unilateral Palestinian declaration of the establishment of a Palestinian state will constitute a fundamental and substantive violation ... The government will adopt immediate stringent measures in the event of such a declaration.

Settlements
The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria (entire West Bank) and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel ... The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting.
http://www.knesset.gov.il/elections/knesset15/elikud_m.htm

Wow no lands or State for the Pal's. Such is the way of Zionism.

And what? Jump up and down like hysterical children and wait for the Israelis to turn you over your knee for a good spanking....again....and again...and again.

Palestinians are a pathetic group who still haven't learned that banging one's head against the same wall won't get you out the door....and it certainly does nothing to improve the lifestyle of your children.

No, it was because back then when one spoke of a Palestinian one was generally speaking of a Jew. The Romans didn't rename the area to alienate the Bedouins.

Sinai? You think that desert is worth anything to anyone? No.

Lame. So why not just let Israel keep it? You realize the same was being said about the whole of Palestine in the 19th century...a desolate wasteland not worth anything to anyone. The Arabs were laughing at the Jews who overpaid for the land.

Nonsense. Israel had turned Gaza into one of the most productive agricultural areas in the middle east. There are zero settlers in Gaza for a year now. Who owns the water? What happened to the greenhouses?

It's a real mess really. All Israel did was hold on to what they can to survive. They didn't think or wanted to real form a strong country. From history, we know, Israel is formed and destroyed by its neighbours and their defences. As a country saved them, they follow that country's path no matter if the country is wrong. or countries for that matter. All I need to add is slaughter, oh the slaughter.
