Try reading Jeremiah:23 to see how that attempt on his life brought Neb into their lives and he was working for God against the 'chosen people'. Most of the people they video and end up killing usually don't even know they're about to be killed until it's happening. They probably think they're just making a ransom video.
I'm pretty sure that's what happened to the guy that was beheaded during the Iraq invasion. He was reading his lines calmly and then they started hacking away at him while he screamed "No!" over and over again until he couldn't talk anymore and his head was hanging off his body by the spinal cord where he just tried to jerk around to try and rip from his own body to end it faster.
