Yet the Democrats stopped all investigations into ACORN's policies. ACORN did and do what the Democrats accused the Republicans of doing in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 elections. That was fixing the vote, multiple votes for same person, dead people voting, busing people to vote in areas not in their voting districts etc. They got better at it every year.

We've been through this before. You aren't interested in discussion. You are only interested in placing the blame on Bush. You are doing exactly that which you criticize others for.
That does not answer my question. As always this Canadian forum which is comprised mostly of far right Canadians endlessly attacks Obama but never makes even the slightest attempt to offer meannigful solutions to the mess created by Bush and the Republicans.
You have now spent a number of months attacking and criticizing Obama. Is this what the forum will be like for the next three years? Republicans have been attacking the Democrats but continually lose election after election because they do not offer alternatives to the mess they created. How will your endless attacks solve anything for you of the far right ??

In the last little while I have seen several posts akin to this one, on various threads. It appears the posters are unhappy with opinions differing from their own.
Here is the crux of the issue as I see it.
On a discussion board like this one its fairly important to realize that a diverse group of individuals(possibly including aliens from a distant galaxy)are going to have widely diverging opinions.
Especially on hot button topics like religion and politics.
As my Mom used to say; " If we were all identical it sure would get boring around here".
A good debater can see both sides of any position.
A really,really good debater can argue either side of just about any subject with equal skill.
The trick in a debate is not to try and insult or demean the opposition. The object should be to try and convince others that your particular viewpoint is rational and believable.
If one side argues a position calmly and effectively and the other side gets annoyed and insulting its fairly obvious to me who is winning the discussion.
I submit that the possibility exists that when some people believe a discussion forum is overwhelmingly inhabited by people with differing or erroneous political positions it is because they are not stepping back and viewing things with a critical eye.
Lets just say, for arguments sake, I hold far right political beliefs.
Any posts that espouse far right beliefs I view as normal.
Any posts that support centre- right beliefs I view as slightly vague and wishy washy but otherwise normal.
I don't really remember or take note of any of these posts because they are all somewhat obvious and redundant.
However any left wing post I view as outrageous,unbelievable, erroneous, immoral, unconvincing and ethically flawed.
Obviously I remember and take note of those posts.
Soon all I see is a forum infested with lies and warped viewpoints.
Hypothetically speaking.
So the answer becomes either your viewpoints are way, way out there.
Or you need to step back and look at things with a wider scope.

Continuously lose election after election? They have only recently lost the house a few years ago and just recently the presidency.
Now the Democrats are the proverbial "dog that caught the car and doesn't know what to do with it."
Democrat approval ratings are down across the board. Obama is floundering and the people are starting to notice.

Right, Yukon. I suppose that is why 90% of blacks vote Democratic. Blacks have a death wish and they purposely choose a racist party to support and they spurn the non racist party (Republican) in droves.
I have said it before; Republicans must really have a very low opinion of black people, of their intelligence, if they claim that blacks are too stupid to figure out which is the racist party and which isn’t, that they are too dumb to figure out which party is against them and which is for them.
Republican Party is well known for its racism, starting with their leader, the drug addict on loan from God. He was fired from ESPN a while ago for making racist comments. So it starts at the top, and the rank and file Republicans take their cue from their leader. Just recently there have been examples of racist comments from Republicans in South Carolina and in Tennessee.
But I do hope that Republicans continue with their delusion that Republicans are not racist and Democrats are. That will be the surest way to keep the black votes coming the Democrat way.
But again, why this whining, EagleSmack? If that is the case, isn’t that good news for you? Shouldn’t you be doing cartwheels, pooping open Champaign and caviar, have a great party?
If what you say is true, it is the time to rejoice, because soon the righteous (or should I say self righteous?) will rule. Doesn’t the Bible say when righteous rule, people rejoice? Shouldn’t you be rejoicing, according to you, your party will win the Senate and the House in 2010, and presidency in 2012 (it is all but a done deal). Then why all the whining?
If I were you, I will welcome with open arms what is happening in USA, I would hope for more of the same. I would hope for 25% unemployment and 20% inflation (but you probably wish that anyway). Because according to you, that is the surest way to achieving paradise in USA, the surest way for the religious right to capture all the branches of government, all the levers of power.
