America is losing their capitalist identity and slowly is moving to the concept of communism as being the way to save their country.

Communism has such a negative feel because of the late USSR and Cuba model.

You can say that ever since the government started funding social issues by taxpayer money then that government can be classified as embracing social and communist views like what is happening in USA.

The three different levels of government have certain responsibilities and that’s all but over the years through amendments to the constitution got eroded to the point that America is on the verge of becoming a communist country.

True capitalism does not include government bailouts.

American’s are becoming jobless and are demanding more from their government.

America wants the government to take care of them.

In these economic upheavals where the America owes tens of trillions of dollars communism is the only way to save the country.

When you look at it since America owes most of their money to communist China, communism is not that bad after all.

You can say the same about Canada .
In China ,people are standing on their own two feet.

China Communist? I thought China was more capitalist than even the US! Even police officers are for sale, and they're cheap too.

I thought the mainland was even more capitalist than Hong Kong. I'd never purchsed the services of a police offiser, and I never will. But I was once invited to a banquet with a businessman and police officers. At first I thought they were friends, and later found out that the dinner was a bribe to fix some legal problems for them... along with an expensive pack of cigarettes. Remember though, that in China a few hundred renminbi is nothing for the upper-middle class. The whole dinner was probably about equal to no more than 200 Canadian dollars, and probably closer to 100 Canadian dollars. I don't know about you, but I think that is frightningly cheap to bribe a police officer!

According to the UN, Taiwan is Chinese territory.

I believe in respecting international law, whether we agree with it or not.

Thank me for respecting international law, or thank me for the response, or something else?

What's the thank for?

In my case the policeman who helped me with my visa was my brother's in law friend , he just helped me , there was no money exchange.I don't bribe , No class .
For your information the majority of the Chinese ,work for less than 100 renminbi /day.

Sorry, you're right. I suppose by their standards, that wasn't a cheap bribe. Fair enough. Sorry.

But I still get the impression that outside major companies, everyone pretty well does as he pleases, even more so than here. In that sense it does appear even more capitalistic than Canada. They have a flourishing pirating industry, under-the-table businesses (yes we have them here too, but there it sometimes appears to be the norm, always avoiding receipts to hide taxable revenue, etc.). Though I'm not using the word 'capitalist' here in a necessarily positive sense. There is such a thing as going too far.
