And what is it those great United States don't like about an "enemy of the State" showing signs of being human? A wreath shows respect for the dead ... NOT insult to the living. It's no wonder nobody wants to play with you.

Because it's not sincere. You don't preside a Death to America parade on September 23 then "show respect" on September 24.

And who is SUPPOSED to be the bigger man?

Wolf

 That's better. Maybe we can get a string of short jokes going in the 10,000 thread!

Ahmadinjihad got somewhat roasted by Bollinger, the pres of Columbia U.

Haven't seen A's response yet, other than denying that there are homosexuals in Iran!

Ahmadinejad the reincarnation of Adolph Hitler

:angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: It is despicable that Columbia University has to suckall to a scum ball like this sorry human example of flesh . He is the lowest form of life that ever walked on the face of our planet.

Only some led between his dirty ears would make him stop the contaminated thoughts he has about the Jews and the Western civilization, this idiot has the potential of Adolph Hitler. Just imagine if Iran became the super power of the Middle East what would happen to the oil prices.

I watched part of Chris Matthews' Hardball show tonight and it was interesting to see him and conservative Pat Buchanan both agree on the fact that it was the USA who committed terrorism in Iran by imposing the Shah during the 1950s. Buchanan made it a point to assert that it was done under Eisenhower who, as always, was Republican.

BTW, it was Iran which officially was the first nation to send its condolences after 9/11 since it has always been at war with Wahhabi extemism, contrary to the lies of some of the ultra right wingers who insist that they are allies.

... yeah, ..yeah. Work with me Kres....

His new Megiraq spouts dollar trees. Bargain-basement-priced oil floods the world market. Camels bear names like Ferarri and 'vette. Another of those suburban states is born. All of a sudden, they find there really is this thing with seawater....

No evidence Iran supplies arms to Taliban, UN says

HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS ARTICLE:

MIKE BLANCHFIELD, CanWest News Service

Published: 17 hours ago
A top United Nations diplomat is rejecting repeated claims from the Bush administration that Iran is supplying weapons to the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan.
The allegations of Iranian meddling in Afghanistan first surfaced in June, and gained momentum with senior U.S. intelligence and military officials accusing Iran of officially endorsing the shipment of armaments across its eastern border.
If true, the implications for Canadian troops in Afghanistan would be serious, Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier said.

Seventy Canadian soldiers and one Canadian diplomat have lost their lives in Afghanistan, more than half from roadside bombs that have grown increasingly sophisticated and powerful in the last year.
Asked whether the UN has seen any evidence of Iranian weaponry reaching the Taliban insurgency, Chris Alexander, the deputy United Nations representative to Kabul, told CanWest News Service: "None. It's the other border across which arms and weapons principally arrive."

The Taliban are Wahhabi Sunni extremist fanatics. Ahmadinejad and his government are Orthodox Shiia and are considered enemies by Wahhabis. As I wrote before on this board, no one in their right mind would arm their own enemies.

That is, unless they are Republicans who are doing the arming with your tax dollars as conservative Pat Buchanan pointed out this evening.

Forgot to mention: while Bush has repeatedly made that claim by planting stories in the right wing news media, he has yet to provide any evidence to the Senate Armed services Committee.

Watching the reports of the interview on Anderson Cooper 360, I was very impressed by the way Columbia handled the interview. He was not given free rain to speak. Her was put in a position where he had to answer questions I'm sure he didn't want to answer. At one point the students laughed at him when he said, "There are no homosexuals in Iran". What ever people think about what he should or should not be allowed to do, he was taken from a position where he goes unchallenged to a forum where he looked silly to even more liberal minded people. Forget all the politics, Columbia provided a great educational opportunity for their students. They in no way looked like a liberal school which was trying to indoctrinate students with Anti-American sentiments.

Three-quarters of the Republican party think the same thing. They claim it's only a lifestyle choice.

Weather your statement is true or false it is not Republican policy to hang kids for being gay. Do you know the Iranian government executes more teenagers per capita then any other country? Anyway, in any action there is always some mix of choice and compulsion. Some people are just more naturally compelled to act in certain ways then others. In the case of homosexuality what is important is not how much choice someone has but rather that it is none one else's business what people decide to consensually do with their own bodies. The law has no place ledeslating against victimless acts period.

There are still many similarities.

In 2006, 91 per cent of all known executions took place in China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan and the USA.
