Loaded questions. The US should stop threatening people who don't kiss their ass. The US has had a hard on for Iran ever since they kicked out their puppet, the Shaw. The US is the biggest and baddest terrorist organization the world has ever known and if there is nobody on this planet who is willing to kick their butt, then I hope some aliens come down here and do it for us. The rest of the world is fed up with these kindergarten bullies.

what a garbage poll........ there is no proof that Iran is producing nuclear weapons, in fact, the opposite is true. Iran is developing domestic peacefull nuclear power only.

Another warmongering american pushing an agenda.

There's no proof Israel has any nuclear weapons either......

When, not if, Iran obtains their own "bomb" anyone in the neighbourhood who feels threatened will try and do the same, and then their neighbours will do the same and so on. All that is needed is one unstable zealot to set the whole thing off. Irans quest for the bomb began in the Shah's era and continues today.

Yeah right.....

And the Richard Simmons is really the tooth fairy.

Iran has fuel reserves enough to cheaply produce all the power it needs.......much cheaper than nuclear.........especially considering the security they have to go through to continue to build.....

The idea that this is a "peaceful" project is just soooo stupid.........

My, such an intellectual reply.......gee whiz, I hope you didn't strain your brain coming up with that one!

It is the simple truth, for all their numerous faults, the Americans are much better than the alternatives.....simple as that......

They are a democratic, free, and western society, open to debate, and subject to whim of the people.

Now, have you the gray matter to argue the point? Or are you just going to make a damned fool of yourself??

As far as I am concerned, the yanks are being the arrogant bully here. 'I can have it, but not you'. Any country should have the right to use whatever technology is available to them. Just because the yanks , or in this case, Israel, feel threatened by it, too bad.
As the old saying goes, whatever is good for the goose is good for the gander.

And why do we need a superpower? And are we now going to grade bullies? As an NDP candidate told me one day, I should vote for NDP because they were the lesser of two evils (in BC). I told him I did not vote for evil in any form. Only morons vote for the lesser of two evils (in this case three).

There was no cold war. The same banks financed both powers (read: owned both countries). The banks are the ones who are the real power, the ones dictating political chaos to keep people in slavery through dept and fear to their insatiable appetite for power and control.

The US needs a boogyman to keep its military based economy flowing. Iran is just another in a long line of boogymen like Hitler, Stalin, Hussein and Noriega. Pointing fingers is a tried and true method of deflecting blame.

If having an opinion opposite to yours makes me an idiot, then I will wear that badge with pride.

First off, I don't believe any country ought to bow to the laws of any other country. Looking at it that way, Iran has no obligation whatsoever to the US. However, all countries have an obligation to respect international law. If the international community decides to place sanctions against Iran, fine. But it's not a decision for any single country to decide.

Iraq is a prime example of what the americans think of the "international community".

Honestly, I was in favour of ousting Saddam on condition that we had the clear moral support of the international community. On the one hand, I wish the international community had approved the war, but on the other, as long as it didn't, then Canada did the right thing in showing respect for international law and stay out of that war.

Bush thought he was above the law and acted accordingly.

americans in general believe they are morally superior to anyone else in the world and therefore see no reason to follow any "law" other than what they have specifically made, and still reserve the right to ignore any law that they feel is inconvenient at the time.

YouTube - Kofi Annan - US did not have legal authority to invade Iraq

Whether the war was illegal or not, it would seem that there is some debate there. However you'd think a wise government would not go to war without having the clear moral support of international law and the international community. To go to war under legally ambiguous and uncertain conditions is foolhardy at best.

the americans don't give a sh*t...after all... they are the worlds sole super power....they feel they have the authority to do what ever they damn well feel like doing.
