I was kind of surprised when they first gave the show to Leno. I don't like it when it seems he almost has to explain some of his jokes, if you get what I am referring to.Johnny Carson used to come on at 11:00pm and the show would run for over 90 minutes. Back in the days when we had a TV guide I used to look and see who Carson had on and watch maybe three times during the week.
Steve Allen did the first Tonight Show and he passed it on to Jack Parr who changed it to the Jack Parr show and then it went to Carson as the Tonight show again. My point is that the transition to these different hosts was almost seamless. Leno doesn't fit the mold.
Jimmy Fallon has some great guests and he has a good band.
maybe so, but his comedy sketches and contests/games are dumb.:-(Risus
Agreed!

However he is still better than any of letterman's top ten lists.

I don't find Leno all the time funny but I do remember why I have some big laffs on occasion with him....
When he does the ads in newspapers which are "screwed up" or "really strange"....it is fascinating to see what people print in paper these days and because it's printed it's there to go over and over again....(kinda like forums ahem)....hehe
I don't know, but it might be that it isn't that important.L.Gilbert
Yup - what you said (now why couldn't I have thought up those phrases.....!?!)
lol No worries. Even curling is a better topic than Leno.L.Gilbert
Yup - what is important I still don't understand curling!!! I wish I had studied up before the Olympics...lol
(off topic sorry)!
